i recently watched bowling for columbine and came away with the impression that michael moore is saying that americans are always shooting themselves because they are paranoid to the hilt.. i cant figure it out!

BBC NEWS Seven die in Chicago shooting A man has opened fire at a car parts warehouse in Chicago, killing at least six people, before being shot dead by police.

The authorities identified the gunman as 36-year-old Salvador Tapia and described him as a disgruntled employee who was sacked six months ago.

It appears he hunted down and shot dead six fellow employees before refusing to surrender, authorities said.

The man had had a history of previous arrests on gun charges as well as assault and domestic violence, they said.

He was fired for causing trouble at work and frequently showing up late at work or not at all.

Police were called to the scene after shots were heard at the facility, Windy City Core Supply Inc, on the south side of Chicago early on Wednesday.

They first tried to negotiate by phone with the gunman, but said he "wanted no part of it", and an hour-long stand-off ensued.

Police then exchanged fire with the gunman, both inside and outside the warehouse, before SWAT teams moved in, shooting him dead.

Workplace shootings

The shooting occurred a week after a car supply plant worker in Ohio killed one co-worker and wounded two others before killing himself.

Other workplace shooting incidents in recent years include the death of four people killed at a Chicago plant in February 2001 by a former colleague about to start a prison term.

In December 2000, a man shot dead seven people at an internet company in Wakefield, Massachusetts

In November 1999 another seven were killed at a Xerox facility in Hawaii.

In July of that year, a stock trader killed nine people at two Atlanta brokerage offices and later committed suicide.

propaganda and blatant liar can often be seen sharing a beer together in the local pub.

the observer can differentiate them quite easily as at the end of the evening propaganda stabs blatant liar in the back and steals his underwear.

the common element that bonds these two characters in this uneasy friendship is an agenda that recognizes that matters cannot be presented to a person or group without needing to adjust or manipulate the facts to serve their own ambitions.

An Arizona couple were in jail last night for allegedly keeping their five-year-old twin sons in makeshift cages for nearly 20 hours a day, and feeding them through a small hole.

Police in Phoenix were told about the boys' plight by an elder brother, aged 20, and said they arrived at the house to find the children lying on soiled sheets covered in cockroaches in two cots wired together and covered with plastic crates.

The improvised cages had been sealed together and the only opening was a T-shaped hole through which the boys had been fed, the police said. The boys appeared unable to talk and had not been toilet trained.

Etelvina Rodriguez, 42, told the police that her husband, Louis, 69, was unwell and had been unable to look after the boys, so the cages had been used to stop them straying.

The boys had been let out for a few hours each evening when their mother got home from work.

The parents were charged with child abuse and kidnapping. The twins were placed in state custody, as was a boy aged eight, said to have enjoyed more freedom.

please remove me from this site, i am tired of the sarcasm and the insults simply because i choose to believe in god after leaving the borg.

i am beginning to believe that the borg was a better place than this site because i never once endured what i have had to endure here with certain individuals.

it seems that it is ok for some to criticize others here but when you stand up for what you believe in the shit just gets deeper.

You are trying to change a pesons mind, KGB. But you can't do that wIth so many JW haters around here. Yes, its definetly discouraging to try to help them by listening to them. But then they laugh or whats more, they critize you for your well-meaning thoughts. This is not the place to 'give your heart' to. Best wishes.

KGB is hardly an advocate of the JWs. He knows the world doesn't revolve around them either. The majority of disagreements KGB has got into was over evolution/creation and the bible.

And please stop using such a broad brush. Just because someone points out a flaw in your relgion or beliefs doesn't make them a hater. Quit it with the persecution complex.
