Thank you for your response ,This is where different peoples interpretations come into it ,so Jesus was flesh like us but how a spirit and a soul? Some would say his spirit was what went to heaven but then did he leave his body and soul behind on earth? Others might have a different view that the soul and spirit are but the same thing so we are back to jesus having 2 components , a soul/spirit and a flesh body.

I wonder what the bible really says and is it any wonder that there are so many confusing teachings from people who believe in the same source of their belief - the bible.

Is this 3 component Jesus the result of catholic original teaching?

What about a person being descibed AS A soul or dead soul?

How can any person reaching out to the bible for hope comfort and belief just accept a flavor of christianity when the essence of divinity is descibed in different ways ?

Where in the bible does it say Jesus's soul and spirit were in line with the fathers will apart from his body when he was on earth?

So if The holy spirit fell upon Mary (an imperfect sinner like we all are supposed to be) ,the imperfect egg in her body was inseminated by a supposedly perfect sperm ,and this genetic code from both of them eventually became Jesus?

Then Jesus was a hybrid species ,sort of like mating a horse with a donkey ,and getting a mule which can't reproduce ? But are'nt we told that he was perfect in human form ?

I can't find any specific statement saying that the holy spirit made Mary's egg perfect ,can anyone?

Could Jesus have been imperfect then until he was taken up to heaven ? Was he only half perfect?

If Jesus was imperfect to a degree then did he actually offer a perfect sacrifice for mankind to be saved?

Do the catholics believe Mary was made perfect at the holy spirit insemination of her ? and is that why they worship her as a perfect being?

Round and round we go the ragged rock of man made religious stories that never harmonise with reality.

From Magnum's post -Mark Sanderson: "We've deepened our understanding of Jehovah's mercy, his compassion and his patience... and what about that announcement about our field service reporting? Jehovah is dignifying us, he has confidence in us."

Notice the opening of Sandersons speech " WE'VE deepened our understanding ....." ,not that Jehovah has deepened their understanding ,or Jesus , this belies the source of their decision to stop reporting publisher hours.

So therefore this is a man made decision brought about by possibly legal pressures etc ,and what about being called publishers ? This was a term used to make the R&F feel linked to the so called important work as though a publisher was an officially approved dispenser of Jehovah's truth.

Ticking a box is all that is required now so how are they publishers? What a joke they are borrowing terminology like "publisher" when they have nearly shut down their printers ,stopped door to door witnessing during a so called pandemic ,I doubt too many first century Christians stopped telling the good news to others even though persecution and death befell many of them.

And finally saying that Jehovah is DIGNIFYING them all by not having to report hours of preaching that is supposed to be life saving ,what a pathetic bunch of unqualified liars.

I agree with you cofty ,

Covid opened the door for change and made the publishers slacken off by not going on the field.

The fire for witnessing gradually dimmed for years now by the R&F being dumbed down.

It would be harder for the WTS to guilt the publishers into attacking the field with zeal after the Covid holiday ,so they make it look like a loving provision from the governing body to NOT report and therefore not witness as much.

The Pioneers etc can now be made to be an elite class by having special "conferences" and the R&F taught to see them as a gift from Jehovah ,and they will be happy with that as they will not now have to do as much uncomfortable witnessing.

But eventually Pioneers etc could be dropped in time as, after all, didn't a Watchtower sometime say the witnessing work will end just before Armaggedon?

The governing body covered changes a while ago by telling the R&F that things may seem wrong when changes happen but still trust the governing body (not Jesus).

There will be less cost in needing less staff to keep track of hours and less literature.

I'm almost suffering from cognitive dissonance just coming to grips from this news ,though we knew one day this change had to come to placate the R&F and easier to become a JW which brings in the dollars.

I wish I could go back 50 years and confront my first study conductor Adrian ,and tell him what the future really holds.

OK they are getting along in age and with fat Tony's secret sin he probably has had "Brewers Droop" for some time.

Some older women still need a little lovin' so maybe there's more than a bit of freedom needed for a woman married to an impotent ,perhaps all his anger at the brothers was because of his frustration at being sexually in competent , but a few whiskies will loosen that slimey little mouth and make him a man in his head!

Fisherman and Scholar are doing us a service by reminding us of what the people and beliefs of Jehovahs Witnesses are in reality ,just their beliefs told to them by a collection of very ordinary men attempting to patch together failed and confusing prophecy from old writings.

Fisherman I tend to like your manner but not your beliefs as like many who left the org ,I have seen the hypocrisy within and been at the recieving end of it ,so I will not be part of it.

As for Scholar ,well you represent all that is bad in the religion ,from hypocrisy to arrogance and self importance all qualities of the governing body and the drones below them. Keep going I say for you are assisting those now that come here ,and especially Jeffro in helping future ones see what JW are.

1975 on the back burner

“1975” still marks 6000 years from the creation of adam in wt calendar.

according to “all scriptures inspired” book, there is a gap between the creation of adam and the creation of eve and her marriage to adam.

it was at that point in time when eve was created that marked the end of the 6th creative day and the beginning of god’s rest, the 7th day as recorded in genesis.

I think SLIMBOYFAT was onto something when he wrote this " According to the Genesis account Adam was 130 when they had their first child, so that sets the absolute limit of the delay between the creation of Adam and Eve at 129 years. That would put the latest date for the 6000-year anniversary of the creation of Eve at 2104. That would be 190 years after the Gentile Times ended in 1914 – quite a stretch. "

Now what I am looking at is to take this a bit further ,Slim's notes point to a possible armaggedon by the latest in 2104.

Now think about that 129 year delay between Adam & Eve being created ,remembering that FRANZ would spend some time with a Jewish man who was scholarly but who was not a JW and apparently they discussed the scriptures together.

Think who was seen as the WTS guru ,Franz, and who pushed for the possibility of 1975 as the end! Franz .

Now look at Slims figure of 129 years since Adam and Eve became a couple leading to year 2104.

Now take that year 2104 and deduct that 129 years ,2104 - 129 = what? Yes the year 1975,.

Maybe Franz worked out the watchtower prophecy this way ,errr but what then happened in 1975 -nothing but a zero.

I did my first study with an elder named Adrian in the 74 to 75 period and I know well what he was expecting in 1975 and he was not the only one. My future mother in law pointed out the scripture "no body knows the day or hour" ,so she did'nt put too much hope in 1975 ,but it was enough for me to stop my first study.

well i think this pyramidion (a capstone to a pyramid ) looks a lot like the remembrance stone of charles taze russell, the watchtower president ,they may have taken and hidden his stone away but those of us who can remember it, it says a lot about russells belief in his version of prophecy based on egyptian pyramids holding gods secret of false prophecy..

Thanks for the comments, I was surprised to get a dislike but you can't please everybody.

Thanks BalaamAss2 for the picture of the memorial pyramid ,It shows on it's surface symbolism that the WTS used back in the day which later had new light applied to it.

It was'nt just Russell who bought into this though ,because when he died his followers made this structure to tell something about their leader "the faithful and disceet slave".

So the followers back then were believing stuff that ,in a supposed pivotal point in history, was changed later and the WTS says these people were found by Jesus to be a cleansed and holy people .

No you can't have it both ways ,Rutherford did the only thing that a corporation can do when in crisis and want to rule the flock ,and that is change the rules and regulations and rebrand the corporation and kick out any followers of the previous leader who won't embrace his change.

Nothing holy about those times and the changes that followed it was just mans way of doing things with no evidence off holy spirit.

during the height of the pandemic all elders had to report to the co anyone who was struggling with bills or who couldn’t pay the rent.

the co reported it to the branch.. i don’t know what happens next.

Because there was a conspiracy of silence because of WTS rules.

Heaven forbid it getting out that "trust in god to provide" did'nt really work as promised. So the elders would sometimes shame brothers and sisters quietly to leave food parcels on the bonnet of their car or on the doorstep of the afflicted.
