Oct.15th WT GB Tells JW Rank & File-You are Our Belongings Stay Humble
by flipper inthe mind control in this latest oct.15th is amazing.
our lurking jw friend sent us this and it basically tellls witnesses that their opinions don't matter and only god is good .
it belittles independent thinking and explains that each rank and file jw is owned by the alleged " faithful and discreet slave " .

the only time Serena irritates me is when she thanks her God Jehovah after winning a championship. as if, if there was a god, he would give a hoot about her
tennis career. Serena is a multi millionaire, fixed for life and will in many years to come a tennis commentator making more millions. she got mad, its
easy to do when playing tennis, its an intense one on one sport. but she needs to apologize and her sponsors will be sure that she does.

Will We in the Future Bioengineer Our Children?
by frankiespeakin ini think in the near future this will be very prevalent and be the norm.
i don't think anyone will want to have the risk of inherent birth defects that are preventable and their child being born that way just because they didn't want it, the future concerns of the child being more important.
religons will have to go along with this too or else get a very bad label as not being progressive and harmful to the human race..

It is my feeling that no other group of people face a life quite like those of us who are shunned by our family and social network
of friends. The loss of both of these at the same time can do a enormous amount of emotional damage. I know, from my personal
experience that it affects my life greatly. I think I have made mistakes in the way that I have handled my life as a disfellowshipped
person. The main mistake I have made is trying to cling to family members who are shunning me. My one piece of advice is to
seriously consider accepting disfellowshipping and moving on quickly to form a new direction for your life, make new friends who
are supportive and try to understand how it feels to live as a shunned person. I am interested in reading what other people
have done to cope with being a shunned person. I consider myself in recovery and I continue to have good days and bad days, but
I still have hope that I will one day find true peace of mind after 21 years of struggling as a disfellowshipped person.
Thanks
Joel

World population projected to reach 7 billion in 2011
by insearchoftruth ini guess more folks to die at the hands of a loving god at the time of the big a....each day jehovah waits, there will be more people who need to die.....is this one of his loving provisions?
but i guess with the potential growth in the global south, there is still hope for wts growth....world population projected to reach 7 billion in 2011story highlights global population to reach 7 billion in two years, research institute projectsmost growth is occurring in developing and poor nations, study findsuganda's population expected to almost triple by 2050india projected to overtake china as most populous countrywashington (cnn) -- the world's population is forecast to hit 7 billion in 2011, the vast majority of its growth coming in developing and, in many cases, the poorest nations, a report released wednesday said.. a staggering 97 percent of global growth over the next 40 years will happen in asia, africa, latin america and the caribbean, according to the population reference bureau's 2009 world population data sheet.. "the great bulk of today's 1.2 billion youth -- nearly 90 percent -- are in developing countries," said carl haub, a co-author of the report.
eight in 10 of those youth live in africa and asia.. "during the next few decades, these young people will most likely continue the current trend of moving from rural areas to cities in search of education and training opportunities, gainful employment, and adequate health care," haub continued, calling it one of the major social questions of the next few decades.. in the developed world, the united states and canada will account for most of the growth -- half from immigration and half from a natural increase in the population -- births minus deaths, according to the report.. high fertility rates and a young population base in the developing world will fuel most of the growth, especially in africa, where women often give birth to six or seven children over a lifetime, the report says.

man continues to take up a higher and higher percentage of the biomass. more humans means less other stuff, cause there's just so much biomass. in addition to create human comforts man is altering huge hunks of the biomass. we won't be around to see the big effects. your great grandchildren will live in a very different world that we do.

Confusing details in "What Does the Bible Really Teach?"
by WingCommander ini've gotten through this entire booklet and have post-it notes on nearly every page.
i know this is a "study brochure" for newly interested persons, but the sugar-coating and glossing over of history, facts, and some of the outright lies i've discovered in it are astounding.
here is a "for instance": .

the teaching has always been that everyone that died before armageddon, except for Adam and Eve and the residents of Sodom and Gomorrah would be resurrected. there has always been a distinction between dying and being destroyed by Jehovah. only those destroyed by Jehovah are not in line for a resurrection.
my argument has always been, then well, it would have been better to have lived in the 18th or 19th century and died and be resurrected to a paradise earth without all the pressures people are under today. of course you can't have sex, since you are like the angels. but hey, always a price to pay.
