wow, what a beautful discussion. And many thanks to you all includind Lady Lee. I wish Raymond Franz was around on this site to provide some feedbacks about this deplorable practices. I am going to get his book soon. I think some one later will come forward to share his or her story directly from the WTS. I think in their 'zeal' to clean out the so called sinning one, or 'clean' the the congregation, the WTS over the decades, might have perfected a top secret system of episonage on those considere questionable.

Privacy Rights of Ex-JWs
by Scott77 iniam writting to ask how do the wts tracks ex-jw's members who have moved from place to place or moved to out of state locations?
in tracking them, is not this a violation of individual right to privacy?
i know of an individual who have been tracked after he moved out of state after he was severally 'persecuted' for deciding to cut of himself off from the congregation only to find wts groups tracking him once again to his new location.

Long time lurker, 1st time poster
by Mattieu inwell where do i start, perhaps will go into more detail later, though briefly - 40 years young, raised in the truth (kingdom baby, which meant i was never going to make it to primary/secondary school/work/get married/have kids....) former ms, regular pioneer, learnt 3 foreign languages, served in foreign language group, married (wife still goes to meetings), beautiful kids, baptised at 15 years of age, regular pioneer at 15, grew up in divided house.. .
hmmm, will go into my issues with all things organisational later, though firstly want to apologise, for being a self righteous spiritual pratt who did things by the book and sat with other elders/mss and prejudged others for not doing enough and having a wrong attitude about all matters spiritual and organisational.
i stepped down as an ms over a year ago (they were grooming me to be an elder), havent been to a meeting in 3 months, i knew it wasnt the truth for a number of years and have struggled badly the last few years.

Lady Lee, when you state that, " It is interesting that in the 15 years after I was DFed the elders knew exactly where I lived at all times", it raises new profound question about how the WTS's ability to track people over their lifespan. Mark you, 15yrs is not a short time. I look forward to hear from someone who used to work at WTS shed light about this secretive practices.

I deeply appreciates everyone's feedbacks. I hope more will contribute to the same. I believe individual rights to privacy should be respected but it hurts to see that the WTS disregards this. Regardless of our former status in the congregation, we deserve the right to persue our lives free from harassment and stallking. I suspect that they are consumed by 'zeal' to spy on some brs and srs or those with questionable issues for the purpose of disfellowshiping him or her. While this may be religiously logical from their standpoint of view, it raises privacy questions especially from those who have requested to be left alone and not wanting to do anything with JWs or the WTS. I have read from this site of a lady who left the 'truth' a decade ago only to be tracked as if she was a criminal, then disfelowshed even though she did not like the stigma of being like that.

Aha, so much with your dad. I think its a matter of having brainshed all those ones considered 'bold' to disregard other's feelings. Otherwise, thanks for sharing.

Hi All,
Iam writting to ask how do the WTS tracks Ex-JW's members who have moved from place to place or moved to out of state locations? In tracking them, is not this a violation of individual right to privacy? I know of an individual who have been tracked after he moved out of state after he was severally 'persecuted' for deciding to cut of himself off from the congregation only to find WTS groups tracking him once again to his new location. If Jehovah and Jesus ould not do this, how on earth is this possible with the WTS? Is this organisation above the law really? Where is justice?

"I'M PERFECT, YOU'RE DOOMED; TALES OF A JW UPBRINGING"
by AWAKE&WATCHING inthought i'd pass this on.
the author is kyria abraham who is one of my ff friends.
i'm sure she would be glad to ad anyone and would love support at her book signings.. .

Scott77
I want to support Kyria in this respect. As one of Ex- JW, the tendency is to view the world as sinful, corrupt and the WTS and all the adherants as kind of perfect. Think of the distorted and often misapplied teaching of "no part of the world". Hence, Kyra's tittle brings up those themes into mind. Most of those familiar with JW's teachings will easily grasp the meanings behind this book's tittle. Please, Kyra, when are you going to come to Boston, MA for the book signing?

"In fact they may even have brothers especially assigned." Hmmm.., is there some JW within the WTS assigned to deal with the internet stuff like this one? Please, does anyone knows that?

Faders
by Awakened at Gilead ini'm new to this board but i see many term themselves as faders.
i may just fade away, but on the other hand, i went ahead and told the elders that i don't believe in the wts garbage anymore.
1914, fds, al of it, i told them, is "rubbish" (i didn't want to say bs in the kh).

I recently joined this webiste. I am so glad to know there are alot of people like me who have faced serious questions about JWs and the society in general. Myself is not a Disfellowed one but I did dissaciate myseflt after realising that I have been marked out. I was so much shocked despite all the good efforts I made to be a good christian. Look, at KH even assemblies, they wuld offer me all previleges befitting a brother in good standing in the congregation and yet mark me out. What a great hypocrisy! I have been in the 'truth' over ten years and therefore, I knew very well inner workings of a congregation elders. Such knowledge helped me to expect what would happen to me and everythings. After writting a letter of disasociation, I was severely slandered in all aspect of my life, at work, ie, socially, securelary, and eduatonally. I got depressed really because of this and started lossing my health. But now, I am so happy and glad. They used a lot of individuals both men and women to make my life a bit hard. I tell you, the WTB society has an eloborate and sophiticated network of spies to disrupt the life aspect of those mong their midst at will. Its very shocking but true. Take the example, how do they track people who have moved from place to place, state to state?
Please, do not forge that the Governing Body of JW is not as diverse as Jehovah God would like it to be.
Thank you all
