  Kangaroo's on the road

  hi all, driving to work this morning (tuesday), traffic had to stop to let a mob of kangaroos bounce acrooss the road.

  they were the lucky ones, every day on my trip to work i see at least one dead kangaroo that has been hit by a car/truck.. as the suburbs push further out of melbourne, the kanagroo's become more desperate for food/water, hence it's normal to see them in our estate.

  at my local golf course, you have to play around the kanagaroo's as they are so used to humans they do not flinch if you are next to them.

  Are you a canadian/aussie?? Flamin Canadians, they keep coming over here and taking our women and grog! We have at least 5 Candians bros in our circuit who have maried our women folk and decided to set up tent here, not to mention the 2 american lads as well, flamin heck mate!

  Yes, the roos jump out at night, though once they see the headlights, they freeze. We have been told that if they freeze, quickly turn your headlights off and then back on again and it should jump away. Yeah right! Like I have time to do that on a sweeping bend high on a hill! Most people just hit them as they always come of sceond best (dead). Though I have seen first hand the serious damage they do to the car (personal experience). Though I would much prefer a roo to a moose.

  I understand the aboot ( I always wanted to throw my shoe at the Aussie wife married to the Canadian bro, who after 6 months in Kahnahda, had this thick Canadian accent and saying aboot used to get me razzed up the most) but I dont get the "petty". In the words of Pauline Hanson "Please explain"

  Hi TM, same here, though dusk can be just as dangerous. We just had a woman attcked by a hungry kangaroo in her backyard not far from us and ended up in hospital.

  I used to feel trapped oompa, but am feeling a new taste of freedom now, though sadly with so many family members and friends still in, I feel as though the borg still has some sort of hold on me, if that makes sense....

  Though when I look at a few of my family still in, I feel sad for them as they look genuinely trapped, like deer eyes caught in the headlights, they want to move out of the way but are too constrained by the pharisees... Fortunately, one of them is starting to ask a lot of questions that like me will bring on the fade. I think that what keeps a lot of people stuck in JW land is the consequence of family relationships. At least it did with me...

  PS - As you are from NC, do you know of a c/o or elder in NC or SC by the name of "Sims or Simms?"

We have had quite a few j-dubs from the USA and Japan who have come over in the last few years who freak out how close we are to them.

  Though I was wondering what animals do you have to avoid in your neck of the woods on the roads overseas?? Moose? Bears? Dick Cheney?

  Shock! Vampire Governing Body members drink blood of Bethelites to stay young!

  at least three governing body members {john barr ted jaracz and anonomus} drink the blood of new bethel volunteer virgins to steal their "life force" {blood is life} or "mojo"......this would explain why these members don't die and live to be over 100 years old.....the witness ban on blood transfusions is a greedy ploy to save more blood for themselves to bathe in...they never leave bethel during daylight hours...they ban crosses and holy water, hello people vampires!

  garlic is not allowed to be served at bethel meals so brothers don't have bad breath....yeah right, vampires!

  Hence the move from Brooklyn to upstate NY, more wooded forests for them to play in at night, nobody in NY city is scared of vampires anymore....

  It was a classic line my Mum always used to use too, "Our brains have been washed clean thanks to Jehovah" Though I look back now and wonder if she really meant it or just had no where else to go....

  Any Change on YMCA Policy?

  i had heard recently the wtbs may have changed their policy on the ymca.

  it would be helpful to me personally if they have.

  i did know of a couple of people in my last congregation who went but i also heard some elders talking against it.

  More Bad News

  another one of my second cousins killed himself today.

  he was 42 and still a jw.

  he called 911 and shot himself while talking to them.

  Hi Ken, so sorry to hear the bad news, thinking of you buddy.

  In regards to

  Is this common in todays congregations? No one knows why he did this.

  I only know of 2 brothers who sadly did commit suicide, one of them would be the last person you would pick. He was in my pioneer school and the last time I saw him was at the Sunday meeting, he was an MS, answering up, doing mike duty, looked very happy. Yet was suffering from depression as most JW's do.

  There was also a spate of suicides amongst jw's back in the late 80's in Sydney including one at Bethel, though I do not know of the facts. I think it would definitely help you personally to go to the Memorial. Stay safe. Mattieu.
