he really did a fantastic job in exposing how the watchtower organization operates, .
exposing its deceivingly decisive corruption.. which one in your opinion out of the many he put up was his pointedly best and why ?.

His videos were straight forward, articulate and accurate with just a hint of sarcasm for the entertainment value. In my opinion they one of the best resources on the web for JWs. I sincerely hope the producer (V) and the others involved are doing well. It would be great to see more from them.

bts: I would assume that the slow and steady fall in prices is due to the increase in efficiency in the creation of goods and services. Once all the efficiencies are "wrung out" of the process, there's no more room for lower prices. All the "low hanging fruit" has been picked by using technoology and "off shore" labor to produce cheaper and cheaper goods. At that point, prices are effected more by the strength of the currency than the increased efficiency of the creation of goods.

Why can pioneers count time working on WT construction but not looking after orphans, widows, the hungry, the thirsty or the homeless?
by yesidid inapart from the scripture about love being the identifying mark of a christian, it seems to me that james 1,27 and matthew 25:34-40 quoted below are the biblical priorities of a christian.. .
although preaching was not included in the three quotes i guess it would be included as christian thing to do.
it has been the thing most stressed by the watchtower hierarchy and certain hours are required to be an elder etc.. does it show something about their priorities that pioneers can count time hour for hour when working on watchtower buildings?

They count their time on construction because every building effort is another "marketing ploy". They sheer number of "volunteers" makes the construction effort more of a media spectacle. Its an attempt to "impress the neighborhood", which is a good thing in their mind. Its a "showy display"....
Discreetly taking care of widows, orphans and the sick will impress very few people.

help.. urgently a friend has spirits in her house priest removed then can they come to me if she s in my home.
by suzanne.dickenson inplease advise i was brought up as a witness and know the faith of jehovah very well i choose not to follow my dad as a witness as i didnt like the way he taught me the truth hence i know its true.. we are having a party at our house for chikdren ans a mum at the school has been invited she told me shes devestated as she has a ghost and its touching the kids on the landing................. i t freaked me out oviously its saturn the devil or his spirits, i came home said a prayer to jehovah as i do quite often to protect us etc.
if she arrives at my hpome can the spirts come here, please advise as i dont want to put my family inthis situation , she has told me a priest has taken it away... i dont believe it............ my dad is a elder of the congregation hence we dont speak, he always taught me stay well away and youll be ok, so even though its gone from herehouae id love your thoughst so i can maybe cancell her calling, i certainly wouldnt keep any gift from her in my home... many thanks suzanne dickenson.. .

Your first post offered no credibility as to who you were... Anyone can come on this board and make an initial post and say just about anything (some stuff gets deleted, but most stands as intact). If you took any time to look at the contents of this site, you would know that this site is mostly contributed to my Ex Jehovah's Witnesses.
I think the best advice anyone can give you (as stated by a FhyingHighNow): "I think spirits have only the power that you give them"

The Holiday Thread

btw, i'm not advocating or opposing the celebration of holidays, just giving a perspective we've taken recently.].
okay, so before we got df'd a few weeks back, we weren't sure if we were going to start celebrating holidays... for a few reasons:.

My wife was born in so she's part of Blondie's group1. Im from group 2.1 (my own number) ... I celbrated holidays as a child up to age 6, then my parents "got cult". I was later able to stay with my grandmother who was not a witness and I was able to celebrate the holidays as a highschooler. I then for some reason ( probably lonliness ) decided to go back to the meetings in my early 20's. Got babtized, met my wife and shortly thereafter started fading... Haven't been to a Memorial in over 10 years.
We have taken the approach that we celebrate the change of seasons. For the winter solstace, we have a small tree and get a few gifts for each other, but they are mostly little things. We are pretty low key as there are a number of witnesses in the area that know us and some of our family is still in...
