I almost threw up. That was disgusting. Made me wonder if she was actually squeezing fat out. After a while it didn't look like puss, but fat.

I laugh at the part of headship and decision making of the husband because I had a husband who never made one single decision. He refused to. Left everything to me. That's why I've said before that I felt lonelier being married than when I was single. I didn't have a 'partner', it was like having a child.

Drunk - Yes, once at 19, another time at 23.
Smoked - One puff at 13, then over a 2yr period many years later, about 10 packs.
Drugs - Second hand dope smoke twice
That's it.

The real life put it perfectly. One must be content within themselves, otherwise they will always look to someone, whether partner or friend, to build them up and make them feel worthwhile. So you have to be happy within yourself before you can become attached to someone else.
As for people needing someone, yes and no. Some people definitely need companionship and the love of another. Others don't. Some are happiest when they have close friends, yet can maintain their independance. While others enjoy coming home to someone and 'growing old 'together. We are each different, with different needs.

What do you mean by replacement excuse? As in those of the remnant that fall away, and need to be replaced? I know a couple who literally out of the blue one day announced they were part of the remnant...they were in their 30's at the time. They are now probably close to 60. The wife, she said it hit her like a bolt of lightning, when she was in the bathroom! As in, on the toilet. The husband said he got the lightning bolt feeling the same day.

Lol no, was just asking. I just wondered if it was one of the 'rebellious' things that JW's do when they leave. People are usually Df'd for immorality/adultery, apostasy or smoking. So was just curious what the statistics were.

You sound just like me :) Needing the validation from another human being, that yes, you are worth something. I think I do this even to this day. Hard habit to break. I think it's partly why I jumped into marrying the first one that took interest. I just wanted to be worth something to someone other than my family. You make perfect sense.

...Which must be why my dad has always said to me that some of those remnant are getting mighty old, and if some of them are to be alive for the tribulation, then it shows how close the end is (my dads words). Thanks, now I understand :)
