Poor man! Got to admire their dedication though...the old ones at the hall have my respect, love them alot. I'm glad your husband was able to make this mans day by helping him out. Though I agree he should be spending his last years winding down, without the worry of putting a report in

Our first Halloween
by darthfader inmrs fader and i went over to a friends house to hand out candy.
we only lightly prepared for the occasion, with just a few cool clothing items like funky hats and shirts, but we bought lots of candy.
we initially expected only a few kids and we would be left with a bunch of late night snacks, but we were "cleaned out".

Good to hear Darthfader! It was halloween here last night, but no trick or treaters came down our street. It's not really a big thing here in Australia. Is getting that way though. I had been invited to a party, but he didn't send me the details til the last minute and the kids were already in bed, so I couldn't go...lol. Maybe next year :)

Lol on the spelling! It's evening here now and though not being an apologist, still can't think of one prophecy. I guess all Jw's are still waiting for them to be fulfilled?

From Noah's Ark to Australia - Awake! Jan. 8, 1969 pp. 5-8
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inso, how did the kangaroos get from noah's ark to australia?
i'd never found any references in watchtower litteratrash, until i stumbled upon this farticle "from noah's ark to australia" in the 1969 awake bound volume.
most of it is wordy and rather pointless, so i only typed two middle subheadings for consideration:.

Great topic Alot of food for thought.
I've heard JW answers to this sort of topic as 'Jehovah has the power to create the flood, he has the power to sustain the animals during their migration' when the animals dispersed from the ark and moved all over the earth. Their reasoning is such that Jehovah could've filled their bellies long enough to settle somewhere (so they wouldn't eat each other, and the koalas would've survived without gum leaves). And if you believe in an almighty power, then I suppose this is reasonable.
But simple logic tells us this can't be right!

The Ark and shells/creatures
by wantstoleave insorry if it's been covered before..... i'm struggling with the flood.
media has reported over the years finding bits of this and that (the ark) on top of a mountain.
seashells are often found high on hills or mountains.
