and this woman turned out to be another child that adam and eve had,right?
so its not ok to kill your brother but its alright to marry your sister...do you imagine your father telling you that in this day and age..."look son you killed your brother,thats not good but go away and settle down with ya sister.

How exciting!! Above all else - just be yourself. Don't stare at her alot, because that will creep her out. The odd glances are ok, then sneakily look away and she'll feel flattered. But don't ever stare. It's just a big turn off.
Like someone else said, don't overdo the aftershave. Just a dab. Women do like clean smelling, fresh men. Make sure your hands are moisturised and not rough and cracked. Even if you don't hold hands, she'll look at them - trust me. Oh, and fresh breath. That's a must!
Take her somewhere public, where distractions can take the conversation on a tangent. Try not to do one on one at a cafe or restaurant unless you're really good at keeping conversation.
Turning up with a single rose would be a nice touch. Not cheesy and it doesn't overdo it. Just shows that you're a gentleman :)

Has an elder ever made a difference in your life?
by monkeyman inok, i've read a lot of horror stories out there about outrageous shepherding calls so i know they exist.
i've also been on several and received 2.. however, as an elder i thought i was pretty capable at helping people and making a difference in their lives.
i've had people tell me so over and over which was quite comforting to me after i was unceremoniously removed.. so here's my question......has anyone out there ever been the recipient of the kind of loving care from elders that made a positive difference in your life?

I've known two very good elders, very loving and sincere. The other gazillion I've known, not so loving and friendly. The two I speak of, helped me immensely when my husband abandoned my children and I. At least for the first 6mths anyway. I don't think they effectively communicated with my husbands elders however, with alot of information slipping through the cracks and my husband getting off scot free. Not even so much as a reproving. I do think that one of those elders genuinely felt for me and what I was going through, and detests my husband, as does everyone else who hears what happened. But justice hasn't been done, so I feel a little cheated at leaving the matter in their hands, and not taking the bull by the horns myself.

I never have, though it's only in recent years that it has become more celebrated in Australia. I have been invited to my first halloween party this year, and am still undecided whether I'll go or not

Follow up to my saga
by Heartbreaker ini realize i'm a bit quiet here, and most if not all won't remember my story, so here is a brief synopsis.
i recently decided that i'd rather pursue life rather than a future life promised but not realized.
i was fortunate enough that my husband agreed in that he didn't want any man telling him what he had to do, or how to live, and so left with me.

Wow Heartbreaker, I feel for you in what you've been through ((hugs)).....You seem to have handled the situation very well with the elders in your yard. You answered appropriately, without flying into a rage, which is probably what they would have liked so the decision to Df would be easier. And you are right to tell them next time they stop by, 'we are about to eat, this is not a convenient time' and shoo them away. I wonder if they will bother stopping by again, or give you a call to tell you Df is on the cards? I wish you the very best, and know that with the support of your husband you will get through this. Keep up up to date on further events...

This chart doesn't even take into account single parents, who in most cases have to work full time to keep a roof over their heads. Part time employment isn't even an option when you don't have a partner to help share the load. It is very unrealistic to say the least.

Facebook has been specifically mentioned at all assemblies/conventions here for the past couple of years. Big no no, but then, lots of elders and pioneers are on it, as well as publishers. Guess they can't police it, but do their best to discourage it.

Lukemia Witness dies due to lack of blood.....the horrific sad story.
by Witness 007 inthe nicest 41 year old brother i have ever met in my life, kind and helpful to all, goes for a routine blood test and finds he has lukemia.
everyone was in shock, he of course refused all blood products advised by doctors.
his blood cell count dropped dramatically and he began to suffer alot.

Question for elder/ex-elders
by TweetieBird inwhy do elders, in judicial committee meetings when dealing with immorality, have to ask so many personal questions, i.e.
how many times, was oral sex involved, anal sex, how many times, etc.
is it really necessary or are the elders just getting off asking about someone else's sex life?

I remember being asked if I enjoyed it when I confessed how I was forced by my fiance to have sex. I think they asked that because the rape wasn't where I was held and pinned down, it was more of an obligatory pressure kind of rape. I was baring my soul, already in tears and feeling utterly ashamed as I sat there alone with 3 men in my house. And I was asked if I enjoyed having sex? I think I huffed back a 'What? I was forced!'. I never did say yes or no.
I've heard of cases where the female has been asked things like the colour of her panties, how short her skirt was, was she flirting with her eyes, were the lights on or off when it happened, how many times did she orgasm....etc
