Ferguson Shooting (Is my thinking on this all wrong.......)

i think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.

i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.

it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

no, they means those who think the shooting was based solely on MB being a black teen and the officer being white. Race baiters, haters and troubler makers , of all races.

I feel so sorry for anyone living there who is just trying to survive this. Getting the H*ll out of dodge at least for the duration of the riots.

If/when they indict that officer they might as well put on some sheets and burn a cross on the front lawn of the court house.They are the same as the KKK.

my mom only goes out for doctor's visits.

they are "encouraging" her to spend three hours to hear the annual meeting at the kh.

she is on oxygen and can barely move.

M, whose going to get her to the meeting and help her with the O2 and all that? Many times they leave that to the children even if they are not attending. My mother toward the end required a lot of help so I was Forcred to attend just to help. I felt like I had to as it was very important to her. There were limits however, and being on O2 might have been a limit for me.

I just wanted to say that I still hearing things like , If the wts does indeed have a LIST... etc. I know they do. I have first hand knowledge that I have discussed before on this board that I was told that so and so was put on the LIST. It is alive and lives somewhere. I learned this in the 80's and at the time was told each congo kept a list but Bethel also had a main LIST. They called it the SCUMBAG LIST. ( privately of course) .

Actually, notice the suble use of "Jehovah's Witnesses" in the statement. They are the WatchTower Bible and Tract Society - but they try to shift the focus onto their believers instead of their legally registered and legally responsible corporation

simon could not be more right. This has been brewing since at least the 80's when some child molestation cases came to the GB notice .They are shifting the blame to the individual elders etc. Intimdating the victims into forgiving the rapistis and child molesters or DF'ing them if they don't.

And Bababra thanks so much for stating the obivious, let us rejoice now. They are unable to hide their filthy underbelly anymore. No more sweeping it under the carpert. I wish their was more that could be done for the many of us who also suffered but the time statutes have run out. They have gotten away with so much.

the social structure in the congregation is more complex than the blueprints of a nuclear warhead, but just so that you "remember your place", see if you can find where your niche was/is:.

1. at the top of the social order of things within the congregation is of course, the presiding overseer and his family.

you forgot the folks who have been DF'd /Da's or put on any kind of restrictions and reinstated. There is a special hell for them, unless they and their family are well connected. These are the folks with "isues" adictions of all kinds, homosexual tendencies etc . In this group are the misfits who are mentally ill etc .
