rhiley,
Hate to call you out on this one but their are religions and there are cults. Within christianity there are many different beliefs that I agree. what I disagree with you on is this.... I am Baptist and I have many Baptist friends However Baptist do not claim to have a monopoly on salvation. Christian Churches preoccupy themselves with saving the unsaved not converting other Christians to their way of thinking. We also do not do it for our salvation as we are saved its for you were worried about! Jehovahs Witnesses are not adding to the body of Christ as if they were apart of it anyway, they would simply be shuffeling it around a bit. I can have discussions and fellowship with another type of Christian without arguing as there is only one common theme throught Christianty one bond. Jesus is Lord! if you believe this then you are saved. We can go on and on about the rapture, tribulation, infant baptisim bla bla bla but these are non salvation issues. Best not to get hung up on them. Cults on the other hand feel that they are the only group chosen and require there members to dress alike and demonize the rest of the world for not agreeing with them! Think like the cult thinks or die! My prayers are with you that you may be granted the wisdom to know the difference!
If all Christian religions have only one common theme, and do not require you to conform to their beliefs than why the need for more than one religion? Religion has been responsible for centuries for creating dissention among people and killing in the name of God. (simplified version) How does that coincide with what the bible teaches of love. The bible, the koran, and such, I believe are meant to be used as a tool by god. It doesn't matter what religion you are. We are all brothers and sisters, and if we lived by "the golden rule" or philosophies along that line, than there is no need for religion. People can live under that way of thinking, in harmony, without interpretations, or variations of it to conflict that belief.
