  during the course of the dateline segment, it was said that manuel beliz denied "molesting and raping" erica, but admitted to "inappropriate touching".. what, if any, is the difference between molesting and touching inappropriately??.

  i dont believe erica lied about her abuse.

  obviously it must be true, even mr. beliz confessed that he touched her inappropriately.

  The WT encourages the use of threatening slander charges to silence victims on a regular basis. Perhaps you haven't known persons affected by this practice but I have. You need to wake up to reality your still living in LA LA land!

  The story on this link: is an example of how I witnesses the elders victimizing the victim. Although it wasn't sexual abuse. When the elders silence dubs for anything it's a shame. When someone lies I tend to believe them. When someone shows a pattern of abuse; I tend to believe they are abusers. The elders tend to show a pattern of abuse by victimizing the victim. So I believe the silentlambs.

  Remember it took the Catholic Church 20 yrs and multiple law suits to begin the process of releasing names. They are only doing so after extreme pressure from ALL angles. They have law suits, members of the Church pressuring them and society. The Catholic Church also has extensive political agendas to achieve. The WT perceives that it doesn't have any political agendas. Despite their whoring with the UN!

  I don't see the WT releasing names without a major lawsuits. Since we know that the R&F are silenced so there is no pressure from within the social group.

  Why WT Elders can't handle child abuse cases

  i think the following is so important .

  let us compare the appointed elders who are asked to look into the matter of child molestation,.

  Interrogated is a strong word for this maybe assessed by a trained psychologist would be more accurate. I hope for the children.

  "Elders are basically Untrained volunteers" LOL...We all knew this but were told other wise, as you said, over and over again. Hmm... They only make such statements when trying to wiggle out of a tight spot. So, they must be squirming. It feels so good!

  In my area many elders are college educated. Some are professors, psychologists, accountants, lawyers and too many programmers to mention. However NONE of them are trained for the special situation of child molestation. An elders lack of education, special training and experience is the issue. These one day meeting to train elders will never make them specially trained for anything. An example is the so called special training the elders received to handling battered woman's issues. It didn't help most of them they still live in the dark ages on everything to do with family issues.

  Your right, I've known so many JWs that convince themselves they are sick to avoid service and meetings. It's learned behavior so give her a break and just be happy she is willing to watch it.

  Barbara Anderson Disfellowshipped

  as of 1 pm today barb anderson was notified that she has been disfellowshipped in writing by the judicial committee in her congregation.

  barb was df in absentia at a second hearing that was declared after she successfully defended herself against charges in the first hearing.

  home office came back with further instructions to make it stick the second time around.
