  My husband found my Crisis of Conscience book

  a little background is that i stopped going to the meetings 7 months ago.

  my husband is and has been inactive for many years but still feels that even though there are many things wrong with the org.. that they are the true religion.. ok, so what was my reaction when my husband came out of our room and asked: .

  Where do you enjoy most - Making Love???

  where do you enjoy most - making love with one another, making that deep down, soul to soul shared connection?.

  for me, if it were possible, it s/he would be out within nature, upon the woodland floor, with a few sleeping bags and cushions, amonst the leaf strewn woodland floor, at night with the moon overhead, owls calling, wow!!

  the connection there i imagine would be pretty awesome, still never done it.. or on top of the cliffs, with the waves pounding below, sending ripples of vibration through the hillside above.. in stormy weather, on the beach, each place adding / sharing another shared perspective in our one soul love creating.. hmmmmmmmmmmmmm if only.. peace, lots of it, kindness, joy and great friendships, music, wine and general jollity and boogeying it down.. love.

  Third time's the charm

  today i was in the main office of my apartment complex.

  when i was walking out i stopped one of the workers and told him that i had lived here for over a year and never once saw a jw.

  i jokingly asked if they had some kind of strategy they used to keep them away.

  What if it was a different person each time and the address was wrong. No one should assault another person. In my opinion.

  Elsewhere what if it was your mother who was assaulted?

  Help needed Re: Elders stepping "aside"

  i have a vague recollection of elders who voluntarily took a break from their positions due to health matters or to take care of family situations.. in some of these cases it was possible for them to have some sort of understanding with the congregation that they would still be respected as elders but without the title and less assignments.. i realize this subject is somewhat stupid, but i have my reasons for asking and if anyone has sound information regarding situations where an elder can take advantage of something like this and how one would go about it, it would be appreciated.. path

  I the States they changed the terminology to being deleted as an elder. Do notice I never capitalize elder or bethelite. Since it's not supposed to be a title.

  Believe me the Catholic church has it's own hypocrisy, ways of guilt tripping and shaming their children/adult members. They waited to burn Joan alive at 19 yrs old for political reasons. Today they just keep reminding their members how they will burn in hell! Nothing changes, Babylon still lives at the Watch Tower.

  Another problem with JW culture is how some of those raised in the truth have been too sheltered. Therefore, they know little or nothing about other religions and cultures.

  Can a jw be punished for withholding sex?

  my wife and i have seperated,and i had to talk to the elders yesterday one of the things they asked did i withhold sex from my wife?

  odd question ?

  This is true but from the other way around. I know several wives whose husbands haven't touched them for years (10 sometimes 20 years).

  The elders don't want to touch this subject. There would be no elders left in the congs.

  Are the WTBS the modern day Pharisees and Saducees

  i've been thinking about this for sometime now and i wanted to know how other people felt about this comparison.

  the pharisees were known for hypocrisy and for also promoting traditions of men and other non-bibical teachings.

  when we look at the wtbs in light of the actions of the pharisees there are some amazing similarities.

  Clapton puts on a great show seen him many times a MSG NYC. He usually plays 3 hours.Wish I could be there.

  I'm not following these dog and cat fights. However, you keep putting down fluff posts. I would like to defend it:

  Don't you ever read the comics in the newspaper. Some posters are just that comic relief. I think too much as it is. If you laugh together it breaks down boundaries. Isn't that Simon's mission?
