  i haven't been here in forever hope i get back to view the replies.

  i had an interesting experience recently and wanted to share.

  i was raised as a jw for 18 yrs.

  Reverse Witnessing - 101

  on the weekends, i am usually found - in the mornings - at the local coffee shop - where i study - and madly write my new ideas - or expand on old ones.. it is a time when i put to paper all of the thoughts of the past week - and dream up new ones for the next one.. anyway, on sunday mornings, there is a retired schoolteacher lady who - with her husband show up after their church services and have breakfast.

  she will usually try to find an open pair of seats at the counter next to me - to talk with me.

  this morning, they sat next to me, and she began talking (which usually interrupts my solo quiet time).. during the chatter, she asked me if i was into sports when i was in school.

  My daughter is getting baptized tomorrow...

  her father is going to her convention, but i'm not.

  i know this hurts her and it makes me feel sick on so many different counts.

  i have a good reason not to go, it's 2 weeks before graduation and i really don't have time even to be writing this.

  i read on an ex-jws italian forum that in certain congregations witnesses are getting rid of their hello kitty toys.

  the reason?

  well, it's because the hello kitty is mouthless ... and that's how the "story" (the metropolitan legend) goes: .

  found an examining scriptures daily 2009 booklet on my table.

  so i sifted through some of it.

  actually i'm shocked it's not as bad (if they just practiced what was in here) as i thought but ran across a couple different days like this one.

  well to start i was raised a jw.

  my girlfriend is as member of sovereign grace ministries.

  i have not been to a meeting in 15 years, i have attended the memorial every year.

  Change of Heart

  i am writing in to say that i have come to a decision to return to the meetings at my local kingdom hall.

  after much soul searching and careful thought, i feel happy with my decision.. i have decided to submit this on the jwdf to prove to god that i am genuine in my sincerity towards him and to show repentance for the things i have said in the past.

  Preaching to JW's

  i know everyone here has different feelings about "religion/god, etc.

  " i now consider myself christian, got baptized in a baptist church, etc.. i have my own business and have two jw's that occasionally work for me.

  my mom is a devout jw.. the other day for a reason that came up unrelated to religion/god, a groomer who works for me was asking me about the church woman's bible study i'm involved with while we were working.
