Shunning inactive JW? I never heard about it before....
by Albert Einstein infrom many of your posts ive noticed some of you, who never were df or da are practicaly shunned by your family memebers or congregation memebers.
does that really mean they wouldnt talk to you or greet you, if they meet you on the street or if you call them?.
i live in eastern europe and i never in my life heard about such attitude.

I was never D'fd and I was completely shunned by my family. My own sister told me that if I did not leave my wife and go back to the kingdom hall she would never talk to me. She kept her silence for over three years before she allowed herself to talk to me again. My own parents would hesitate to talk to me also. It hurt me very bad, but at least time is a healer, after a decade things are progressing in a positive direction again.

Water on the moon? Gee, I wonder why God created that...
by hotchocolate inhttp://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-tc-nw-moon-water-1113-1114nov14,0,1039358.story.
how do you think the witnesses will explain this one..... x.

A theory discussed about water on the moon is that a meteor hit the earth and raised a bunch of earth dust and water into space, then gravity molded the water and dust together in orbit forming the moon. So the moon is really part earth/part meteor. What are your thoughts.

I've had enough of this place
by Psychotic Parrot ini hate the watchtower.
and the governing body are the lowest lifeforms ever to crawl out of the devil's anus.
but the world really is no better & neither are ex-jdubs, despite their character building experience.. the watchtower and all other religions are pointless scumbag rackets.

Hey what does he me he quits life. I'm concerned. Although I do agree with him to a point because I look back at the countless years I wasted as a JW and find myself to be on the Ex JW website for more countless hours. I'm sick of wasting my time with anything that has to do with JW's either for or agaist them. But I just keep on comming back to theios web site. hahaha

Dec. 15th WT - WT Society REALLY Minimizes Earning a Decent Living
by flipper init's ridiculous.
i saw this so much in my 44 years in the jehovah's witness cult.
whether it was elders, pioneers, or other people in the cult criticizing others for working too much at their employment or missing some service or meetings due to employment.

I remember the time when I was 17 years old. My parents retired to Florida and I lived in Massachusetts. I was working at $7/hr. I was living alone and it took everything I had to just pay rent. Food was a luxery, I had the oppertunity to work overtime at the cost of missing the meetings (except for Sundays) and I took it. I was so exhausted from work, I found it hard to wake up on time for the Sunday Talk but, nevertheless I was there. One day my truck broke its clutch. I thought of the people they made examples of in third world countries who have to walk miles to the meetings and cross rivers filed with piranhas to get there. I thought this is my "piranha filled river" and still I was going to make it. I grinded the gears, power shifting my beat up truck, and made it to the meeting. Only to have the elders that very day, tell me that missing the meetings was unexceptable, and I was to be stripped of all my priveleges. I told them my circumstance, and asked for help from the elders. I even gave them the piranha filled river speach. All they said to me after that was, "If you can't afford to live on your own, you should go live with your parents." I was shocked! These people were supposed to be my family. Yet they never gave me help. I later walked to work. An elder stopped by my place and talked with me and asked why I haven't gone to the meetings. I said, the Kingdom Hall is 10 miles away and its 30 degrees out. Luckily my job was about a mile away. He offered to give me a ride but said I had to pay him $5 a day to get there!!!!! I told him to leave, and I never went back to that Kingdum Hall again.

Demonic Possesion of Inaminate Objects
by cantleave inthis is a phenonoma often discussed by jw's.
how unique is this idea to jw's?.
anyone got any good stories on this subject?.

Funny, I wonder what type of sound a photograh makes when it hits a wall or ceiling. In order for a photo to make a loud enough noise hitting the wall or ceiling to wake me up it would have to be made of rock or something. The picture would have to be traveling faster than the speed of sound to make a sound cutting through the air. hahahaha! Sounds like typical JW story though.

From my sister's My Little Pony's, to Smurfs their has always been talk of this. One sister of mine said she recieved a vase that was demonic. Later she said she felt like a demon was choking her and her husband went to go help but his feet stuck to the floor. Apparently I think its all delusional fear instilled in us by the Governing Body. Nobody I know now as a Ex-Jw as ever experienced anything like that even when purposely going into so-called haunted area's. I've done alot of research on this after posting the old smurf ran out of the KH and exploded into flames rumor. Psycologist say that we see things with our mind as well as our eyes. Fear being the most contributing factor being infused in our mind by the GB can cause JW's to see things like these objects of demonic possesion. To simply sum it up. Its not real, but it may be real to the one seeing it. Just as when we dream with our sub conscience mind we see and feel things when we dream. When fears in us are so strong the subconscience mind influences our senses to where it makes us see and feel things that are not real.

I think my husband is the best man there is. I would only have to agree that ex-JW men are the best. With them you get the family stucture you need with the freedom of living your own life.---------from, JOSH"S WIFE. :)
