Is the Watchtower Corporation guilty of purposely infusing a overwhelming amount of fear to control people ?

if you were to pin point out the workings of the wts., of what attracts people to the.

organization and what is the catalyst that controls them once.

they are inside of it, the conclusion would most likely be drawn that fear is the paramount.

I remember the audio cassette dramas, I used to listen to over and over again, such as "beware of loosing faith by drawing away from Jehovah. " Some scary stuff used in there to instill obedience. And now they have short video clips for our young ones still getting them to feel the fear that Jehovah will not be pleased with them for breaking some recently made up GB rules.

Pictures in the publications and words depicted to the mind are not subtle either as even old timers can vividly recal gruesome dipictions of prophecies applied to those not within the fold, from old publications like "From Paradise lost" one brother close to 60 years old commented that it gave him the shudders.

in the rc yesterday mr jackson said that if wrong direction was given by the gb, the rank and file would notice it.

Seriously GB needs to know how stupid they look and sound. Unprepared by the "holy spirit" so as to give sound answers to those asking.

They are molded to make utterances that are unchecked and unchallenged by the millions of those under them so they are totally unprepared to face the simplest of questions they are being subjected to.

new WT rule: no holding hands durning public prayer!

so i just caught a glimpse of this new wt magazine(study edition) of course.. from dec 28th titled.

"what do your prayers say about you".

so now they are focosing on every aspect of our lifes even our actions during prayer.

Haven't read the wt yet, is it a rule or suggestion? No doubt now they attendants and elders and all involved will be on a watch out to see who breaks their ridiculous "guidance"? What, are we teenagers to be overly aroused at holding hands during prayers? What about a couple during their wedding, will they have to stand apart so it's clear to all they are not holding hands? Or worse yet a funeral during prayer will couples including those who may have lost a loved one not hold each other? Nit picking on EVERY aspect of an individuals life! Way to go Borg, keep showing just how juvenile you are in your thinking. Wife has vowed she's going to do it more "visibly" so there's a plus for me! ;D

we have been following the rc closely.

it is fascinating!

A congregation we share the hall with actually had an elder comment during the meetings that the brothers should not tune into news or net cover on Jw's as it just negative publicity. Which means he's aware of it and hope his comments backfire on him and get the curios searching. This especially since we have'nt had any news coverage here about it.

last week we had the cos visit and i wanted to share my experiences with you.

some background info on me, i knowttatt and am fully awake, my wife also knows my doubts and read a few things on the internet but she is still 100% commited to the truth, saying everything on the apostate sites are lies.

so right now i am in just to keep the status quo.

dubstepped. pass over that club, will you? Took them close to seven months to announce my resignation as an elder, couldn't fathom why I would choose to. "look over imperfections, wait on Jehovah." even after I complaind on the lack of love and hypocrisy amongs the elders. Spineless medlers!

When the brothers now ask "didnt see you on thursday? " I said yeah cause I wasn't there, can't see what's not there! " surprised looks and I laugh. Some others said they didnt see me on sunday and I said I was on my way but heard happy singing in a close by church so I was torn. "huh! Oh you're so funny!"

And so they have begun to keep their distance.

Cognac, they just don't get it.

i know that in english there are better pages exposing the organization, but here i updated the page (in spanish) with an article untitled "la organizacion jehovista oculta el abuso sexual" (the jehovist organization hides sexual abuse) based on the last news on "child abuse" in australia, and quoting watchtower's articles in which you can note how in this organization, the penitent pedophiles are in better position than the "apostates" who denounce the organization's absurdities .. http://jehovismo.com/.

for instance, i quoted the watchtower 1997 jan 1 p.29, where it is said that it is permitted for the penitent pedophile to preach door to door:.

if he seems to be repentant, he will be encouraged to make spiritual progress, share in the field service, even have parts in the theocratic ministry school (the watchtower, january 1, 1997).

Twisted! Same could be said if you were caught searching the net for porn, which would be a little slap on the hand compared to if you were caught visiting "apostate" sites. Doesn't paedophilia go against the teachings of what is truth not only by the wt but also human conscience too? No. Independent thinking does the Borg more harm as it frees the mind from their control thus "hindering their work!"

Secretslaveclass. My apologies I didn't paste the wt comments clearly distinct from my comments. Please refer to the wt I quoted from to see where it ends. But am glad you too agree that the wt tries to dissuade it's followers to avoid them getting information as in the cases of child abuse which are true and alarming. Thanks too for your added information. They also are instilling into the minds of their followers quilt when they either come across such news and perhaps report those who spread such news. Training the people to towards "willful" ignorance when it comes to the reality of the Borg's crimes and failings thus being exposed.

All in the name of protecting the wt society the little ones would suffer and if such exposure would not take place then there would be no change in their mentality to protect the "little lambs." The mentality is screwed up right down to the lord elders who can't be criticised for even small things. Just for your information due to several reasons in my experience and research I boiled with hate at all the lies and have resigned as an elder and will not support any of the activities they had imposed upon me. You are welcomed to wish me luck and give advice on my fade. ;)
