Hi Lovesdubs,
I just want you to explain the impression you got from your mother inlaws letter. Because I am getting something different.
A couple of years wasted! But when I realize how much I have learned by the experience, I know it wasn't wasted. There were a lot of lessons to be learned. I wouldn't want to do it again, but I have to admit that I did learn a lot, especially about myself.
I know that when I was OUT, I trashed the organization many times. But many times I knew it was because I was angry with being shunned. How dare them! Well, of course, we both know the scriptures are there! I hated being viewed as an apostate! But I was. The scriptures are there! I am not proud of my conduct over the last few years. I made a lot of mistakes. I am going to try and correct them. (She is so full of crap at this point, I could barely finish this)
Here I am getting that she's being honest with herself. She learned somethings about herself, she reconginzed her mistakes. She even admits why she trashed the organization. I have never read anywhere on here where an xjws has admited this before. (But I have been only reading for a few months on here).
In both states here, she's asking you to meet her half way. She doesn't want to shun you and it's not her intentions, she even say's she broke the rules to show her love for you. How many of you have complained about not being shown love by family memebers who are still in?It is not my intention to shun you D. I didn't like it before, and you viewed me as a hypocrite then, because I hugged you and told you I missed you, when I knew I shouldn't. I don't think it will be any different this time. (oh yes it will...I wont allow her around me) You will find me a hypocrite again, probably already do. It upsets me to think that you will view me that way, but I honestly can't do anything about that. I will try to obey the rules (and whose rules are those? Gods??) as best I can, but love you as always, and hope to convey that as best I can under the circumstances.
If you would please shun the negativity, and speak kindly and respectfully of what I believe, I don't see why we can't still be family. I certainly won't try to correct you or speak disrespectfully of your decision to do what you believe is best.
I'm sorry if the kids are confused. Tell them Grandma loves Jehovah and wants to serve him again. Tell them I think I made a lot of mistakes, and that I want to correct them. Tell them I love them, please.
She's asking you to let the children know it's not them it's just her, she wants to make some corrections in her life. wheather agree with them or not it's still something she feels she needs to do.
(Im not telling my kids jack shit...Im not her messenger)
And that's your choice not to give the message their grandmother gave to you to give to them. Why not just tell her to stop by and give the message to the children in person? I hate to see children suffer because of adult disagreements.

by nowaytess ini know when it comes to pedophiles we are young girls or teenage girls who have been molested by men.. i know of 2 cases where a teenage boy is being seduced by an older woman in the congregation.. .
i know of one when i was a jw in my congregation.
she was 24 and he was 15 1/2 - 16 when they meet.

Are there real dummies in high school that shouldn't be having sex? Sure. Then again, some people shouldn't ever have sex.

If a 15 yo has sex with his 15 yo girlfriend (consenting) is this any better or worse if he has sex with someone ten years his senior? Does it really make that much of a difference?
No it didn't make much of a difference when I did it. Of course I enjoyed it more when I was with older women. I still do. :) Why because one is more experience in sex than the other but they ( women 25 or girls 15) are still having sex. SEX IS SEX.

There is a difference betweem two older adults having a relationship where the person have the time and maturity. I find it more disugsting when the boy is just a teen havig his first sexaul experice with a woman who may be old enough to be his mother.
What about men who are old enough to be the father, and grandfather.? Is that okay? I see it everyday,it's all around us. I don't know maybe you being a jw made you numb to some real facts of life on the outside, but, I wasn't caring how old the women were.If she was pretty and sexy I felt I wanted to do it, hell i did it, (at the age of 15yrs). Sometimes the women were 25 sometimes they were younger, ( I also slept with girls my own age) I can tell you the sex felt much better coming from an older women than it did from a girl my own age. Get real this ain't no "leave it to beaver" world. It's been going on for centuries. Only now can younger boys, men or whatever admit they have been having sex with older women. Not forced, willifully
If you know of older women who are "forcing" little kids in to having sex call the police it's rape. I can't speak for other boys my age (during those times) but, I can say when I had sex with older women it was because I wanted it, and if my parents had called the cops I would have denied it to the bone.
There's a saying that a girls become women at 18, while boys become men at 21 . Supposedly girls mature faster than boys. I think it depends on how mature you are in the mind. It has nothing to do with age. I don't believe little 15yr girls look at old men and say " WOW look at those wrinkles in his face, look at how his skin has drop on his body, look at how red his eyes are, i wonder what he looks like without his clothes on? I want to marry him so he can steal all my youth away, I want to get knocked up and be stuck in a marriage with a nasty old man" They go with them because they think they are mature enough to deal with it. Same with boys. They look at all kinds of sexy pictures of Grown women, they not looking at little 12yrs girls. I know I wasn't. We wanted beautiful, sexy, slim, pretty face women in our teen years. I am more mature now only because I am not paying so much attention now to the outside it has nothing to do with my age, and the sex is still good to me from older women.
This thread kind of reminds me of the double standard treatment I saw women go through in the middle East. Men were allowed to go around and have sex with women or at times very young girls, some being raped. (if they were raped the VICTIM was put to death for the sake of family honor) On the other hand women who slept with men or young boys were put to death for being "whores".
Why is it that women want men to be more liberal minded until it comes to sex, and justice.?

I can believe that Sadie, many old men only want the young girls because they are young they are thinking of the sex they can get from them. They figure they can control and mold younger girls. There's a man that lives two doors down from me, he's 50yrs out driving around trying to talk young females in his car. Everytime he brings one around the first and ususally on thing he talks about with them is sex. With so many old men marrying young girls it's no wonder that older women are looking for younger men.
Younger girls are in more danger being with older men than older women are with younger boys. I haven't yet heard of young men being killed because he left his older wife , (not saying it doesn't happen) but I have heard of old men killing young women because they can't accept the younger wife want to move on to men their own age (some times they are not even married to them).

Well in my case dating older women was no big deal. I enjoyed having sex with em, and dating em. As far as the young men who marry older woman , unless they have guns put to their heads , i doubt very much they are victims, they know what they are doing. And how do they figure they are being held as hostages or not inlove with the women; before or after they get ass?
It's a different case when a younger female is stuck in a marriage with an old man, everyone tells her she shouldn't have done it and she needs to make that marriage work. It's a double standard, if an older woman dates a young man she "seduce" him, on the other hand if a young girl dates an old man "she's a whore" or it's perfectly normal.
