Must see video on Youtube where a JW is clearly defeated on the trinity subject...
by Tuesday inpersonally i hate bible ping-pong.
i don't think it ever gets anywhere, i don't think it solves anything and i don't think the participants ever make any head room.
however i will say in this case, i have been proven wrong.

i think people get caught up in semantics here too.
fact is, the trinity is a bolted-on doctrine.

the same DNA? lol
i love it how begetting is clearly understanding one point whilst totally ignoring the fact that if you beget something, you are seperate from it, and older (and in more authority) than it.

either there is no trinity
or the bible contradicts itself...
those are the only two answers. That bible jim guy was really reaching for straws, and the JWs were dull.

A religion with nothing to Celebrate
by eyeslice inhow sad that the witnesses have nothing to celebrate.
the more i think about it since i stopped going to the meetings, the more i feel that spirituality and religion are about opportunities to give thanks and to celebrate life with family and friends.
christenings or name giving ceremonies celebrate the gift of a new life to a family.

i feel the opposite...
i am not a witness and yet i have always viewed holidays (before being a witness and of course during) - as a way of society itself to control its populace... and for people to validate themselves. I think we can have celebrations every day,...

The League of Apostate Pioneers
by Megachusen inrecently it's come to my attention that the other teens in my congragation are being pressured by their parents to pioneer.
the main problem is that, like me, they're all "apostates".
because of this amusing turn of events, i'm thinking about starting my own apostate pioneering group with them.

Some of you might as well still be in the religion -- you are still as dogmatic and judgemental as any of them.

Christians risk rejection and discrimination for their faith in Britain.
by BurnTheShips inthe first poll of britain's churchgoers, carried out for the sunday telegraph, found that thousands of them believe they are being turned down for promotion because of their faith.. one in five said that they had faced opposition at work because of their beliefs.. more than half of them revealed that they had suffered some form of persecution for being a christian.. the findings suggest a growing hostility towards religion in this country, which has been highlighted by a series of clashes between churchgoers and their employers.. and so on.
more at the link.. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/religion/5413311/christians-risk-rejection-and-discrimination-for-their-faith-a-study-claims.html.
silver lining: there are still christians in gb!.

well he makes sense...
its true, there is, in this case, an appreciative difference between mormons and JWs - the former impose their beliefs into legislation, the latter does not.

Author of the book "J.W.s and the hour of darkness" Darek Barefoot speaks up on the conference call concerning subliminal images in the Watchtower lit.
by koolaid-man indarek barefoot, author of the book "jehovah's witnesses and the hour of darkness" will be one of our quests on the six screens conference call on saturday june 6,2009 at 7 p.m.est.
darek barefoot, a former jehovah's witness was ostracized from the organization for trying to expose the truth about the occultic influence in the watchtower organization.
his book documents the existence of disguised, or "subliminal"images in watchtower illustrations, and further demonstrated that these images were occultic, being drawn from witchcraft and demonology.
