Thank you sizemik, I was just wondering about this because I encountered some witnesses in public the other day and they shunned me. My guess is they have probably already DFed me and thats fine, I am happy where I am now. I just feel it would have been nice of them to have informed me. :)

Oh, you are a born-in. You had it easy!
by TotallyADD inafter reading sabastious post on when did you lose your confidence.
i started thinking about what it was like in the early 70's when large groups of people were coming into the wt cult because of the 1975 teaching.
talking with these people they whould tell me how hard it was for them to become a jw.

I have no idea where to post this question, so please excuse me for using this topic. I know without a doubt that I will be DFed or I may already be. My question is, can they DF me without meeting with me, or at least telling me it has taken place? I did tell a sister that I was now attending and a baptized member of another religion, is this all they need to DF me?

What if you want to start going to church? I have not been a regular witness now for many year, only attending the memorial with my mom. I didnt go this year only the second time in 53 years and I wont go back to anymore. Do you think they will come talk to me and DF me?

CyberJesus, its called fear. They have instilled it so very deep and so very hard inside us that we have a hard time with anything Jehovah witness. I am in the same situation right now and it is actually affecting my health. My husband told me that I have to get out and cut all ties with them so I can move on. How can I do that with all this brainwashing in my mind. They have a me so brainwashed and so indoctrinated that I have no idea how long it will be before I am free from them. I wish you all the luck in the world with freeing yourself from them and their hold. I know how hard it is.

Have you Overcome Guilt & Fear Since Exiting Jehovah's Witnesses ?
by flipper inminimus had a great thread recently asking if any who were witnesses felt guilt as a jehovah's witness.
thought i would build on that a little dealing with how you have moved on after being a jehovah's witness ?.
one definition of guilt in the american heritage dictionary is : " self-reproach for supposed inadequacy or wrongdoing ".

I am still at that point of wondering if I am doing the right thing by leaving. Sometimes I wish someone would just say YES IT'S THE RIGHT THING! Everything I am learning is showing me they told me lies and it has totally ticked me off big time. When do you start feeling stronger and know you did the right thing?

JW wedding reception - Should I go? Would you?
by Girlie ini've been invited to attend a wedding reception of a "sister" that i was formerly close with.
there was no major breaking up of the friendship or anything, other than her not liking a statement i made.
just a distancing apart.

I think people sending invitations after not seeing or speaking to a person after this length of time is just rude, its like screaming out, "Bring me a gift"! I would send a congrat card and no gift. I would not attend. Like someone said, a fade is a fade.

I love Cornbread so I love to try different things. I tried Paula Deens version of a layered mexican cornbread and it is very good.

I also love cracklin cornbread, my grandmother made her own cracklins and it was to die for.

PROVE that Jehovah's Witnesses have the "Truth".
by undercover inminimus started a thread asking people to prove that jws don't have the truth.... but, instead of proving they don't, i'd like to see someone prove that the witnesses do have the truth.. this is your thread jw apologists....convince me why you have the truth.. to all you apostates and nay-sayers, please allow the apologists to have their say without harrassing them.
