If you can accept it Almighty God's sovereignty and rulership is above question and at no time has he fallen off of the throne. True, there are other authorities, other "gods", but all are subject to the Almighty, whether they understand this or not. When Jesus ascended to throne of God he was given this authority, or all power in heaven and earth. Is Satan a ruler? Yes. Does he have authority? Yes. Is he a "god"? Yes. Does the Devil's authority, rulership, and godship in anyway invalidate Jesus' possession of the throne above all thrones? Absolutely not! This has been proved by his resurrection.

Jesus Trashes 1914 in ONE Sentence!
by Farkel init only takes one short sentence from the bible to thoroughly demolish the watchtower religion and the doctrine they claim is their most important one.
this sentence is so crystal clear that there is no way the wts can weasal out of it.
that's why they don't even try.. although their real most important doctrine is that the governing body speaks for god, their claimed most important doctrine begins with the notion that jesus took kingdom power and began reigning in 1914. if that doctrine can be shown to be false, the entire watchtower theology scam crumbles into the trash heap where it belongs.

Debator,
If you want take a look at the verses just prior to what you quoted.
"And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne."
If I remember correctly the Watchtower says this "man child" was Jesus. When we was he caught up unto God, and to his throne? The answer is not 1914.

DMCA Complaint from The WatchTower for links to KS-10 'Shepherding' book
by Simon inyes, that's right, they really do not like people being able to read that book so they wanted links to it removed (it appears they have also been going after the hosts of the content itself as well).. unfortunately, i had to removed the links (which were dead anyway when i checked) and i'd ask that people don't re-post them (sorry).
i'm sure there are lots of alternative ways for those with the information to get it to those who need it.. here are the discussions on the book:.

I don't think even the extremely powerful forces that are trying to shut them down are doing so by claiming copyright infringement, are they?
The mormon church unsuccessfully attempted to get their secret elders manual off of Wikileaks using the same legal arguments that the Watchtower legal has used when the previous Flock book was put up on various websites. In both cases the religions are using copyright law, not to protect financial interests in a printed work, but to block publications of secret internal memorandums that happen to be published in a book form. The original intent of copyright law has been pushed beyond published works in order to protect secret internal documents from leaking. For instance Diebold, Inc. used copyright law to block the publication of internal memos and e-mails claiming copyright protection.
Whether or not their claims are legally justified it is easy for big corporations to fire off bullying cease and desist threats and make claims of copyright infringement. In most circumstances the ISP will readily comply to avoid a lawsuit.
With the rise in popularity of Wikileaks and other whistle-blower blogs and websites I'm sure there will be important legal challenges to the ways copyright is currently being used. It will be interesting to see which way the legal wind blows on the matter. I would really like it to be tested in court if fair use can be applied to publication of secret internal manuals for research purposes.

by donuthole innovember is drawing closer and with it, national novel writing month (nanowrimo).
if you ever have thought about writing a book someday, nanowrimo presents a good kick in the trousers opportunity to get on with it.
there is lots of support during the month on their website, nanowrimo.org as well as various regional groups meeting to write together and help one another meet the mutual goal of churning out a 50,000 word "novel" during the month.

this from elder book is just plain wrong
by booby inwillingly and unrepentantiy taking blood.if someone willingly takes blood, perhaps because of being under extreme pressure, the committee should obtain the facts and determine the individual's attitude.
if he is repentant, the committee would provide spiritual assistance in the spirit of galatians 6:1 and jude 22,23. since he is spiritually weak, he would not qualify for special privileges for a period of time, and it may be necessary to remove certain basic privileges.
depending on the circumstances.

This is a double standard that was the result of WT legal's dishonest handling of the situation in Bulgaria where in exchange for legal recognition they agreed to take to enforce sanctions toward members who accepted blood transfusions. You cannot be disfellowshipped for taking a blood transfusion instead you are dissasociating yourself by your actions. In the Bible book of Acts abstaining from blood is mentioned along side fornication. So how is that those who commit fornication aren't equally dissaociating themselves by their actions?

Is it socially and professionally acceptable to drink a beer during your lunch break?
by miseryloveselders ini've been watching my alcohol intake for dietary reasons.
i've been limiting my consumption to a small half glass of vodka, or a shot or two of bourbon.

As said it depends on the company you work for and your dining company. I've been to more than a few business lunches that were accompanied by a glass of wine or beer. In fact I'm pretty sure that is why I'm smiling in my avatar. :-)

Treatment of Disfellowshipped/Disassociated ones

Even if there were some family matters requiring contact, this certainly would be kept to a minimum, in line with the divine principle: “Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person [or guilty of another gross sin], . . . not even eating with such a man.”—1 Corinthians 5:11.
[or guilty of another gross sin]?
The have to dishonestly insert this paraphrase because this verse does not cover a myriad of disfellowshipping offenses that the WT subjects its members to.

Joel P. Engardio's article on JWs (Washington Post)
by behemot injehovah's witnesses: a model for church and state begin blogger thumbs end blogger thumbs by joel p. engardio.
if i'm ever allowed to legally marry, my mother won't attend my wedding.. i'm a gay man and my mom is one of jehovah's witnesses.
to remain true to her faith, she can't in good conscience be part of a same-sex marriage celebration.

Knocking was flawed in that it presented JW's as crusaders for human rights and yet completely glossed over the fact that Witnesses deny those very same rights to their members.
