"Evidence suggests that they walked upright but took refuge in trees, were tall for their time (4 ft. 4 in.) but squat in shape, had the dainty teeth and protruding nose of a modern human but a tiny brain." When I read this from the article, I thought my gosh they are talking about the dubs in their d-d unministry, i.e. protruding nose (dubs are nosy), tiny brain (need i say more). well thats the equivelent of a modern day door basher if there even was one, probably of the species "homoignoramuseldoritis."

Watching 60 minutes
by sspo inwatching 60 minutes and they're showing a skeleton that is 1.9 million years old... found in south africa.. the expert agree on its age and that's so far off from what the bible says of adam being created 6000 years ago.. for 32 years as a jw i argued with people in trying to prove that the bible is truthful in everything it says but.
i finally realized a few years ago that it 's just another "holy book" written by men.. .

One would have to admit that the evolution of intelligence is not a trait of the GB nor of the FDS (whatever that is) . Rather the intelligence quotient of most dubs is on the decrease rather than either static or fluctating.

I was asked that very question several years ago, and my response was as the best that i can remember, "god used an ass didn't he? Well then he could use anything else even a bunch of asses don't ya think?"
I really don't they understood what it was i was saying, one was a gardner, the other had a classic window washing business. They actually agreed with me.

Hopefully you bagged some and pls to deposit it upon the steps of the nearest KH as they will realize the yes bears do do it in the woods, yards and doorsteps. I mean they deserve to receive the best Bear Shit going and it is in your yard, so put some at the door of the hall.

Appears to be another case of "shifting the burden."
by garyneal inmy wife and i was talking about one of the talks that they had concerning marriage and how each spouse is suppose to put the other spouse first and that as long as both spouses did this, it would work out for the greater good of the marriage.. i agreed but added a point in that sometimes, either because of human frailties on the part of your spouse or some other reason, you spouse may not be fulfilling all your needs and sometimes you will just need to take care of your own needs.
i tried to emphasize that this did not mean placing your needs ahead of the marriage or family or even your spouses, but simply sometimes we need to take care of our own needs and not always expect the spouse to do it for us.. she did not like the 'tone' and 'attitude' of my remark and when i brought up an example, it really set her off.. the example had to do with birthdays.
since my wife is a witness, obviously she will not be throwing me a party, at least don't expect her too.

shifting the burden is a pass time of my spouse also, can't ask a question w/o it being implied that if only I would study more, WT Pubs, and attend meetings that i would be enlightened. told the spouse that doing those things is what awokened me to the nonsense perpetuated by te WTBTS. Amd if real reasoning and critical thinking were employed that many many more would leave the mentally enclosed corrall of the WTBTS.

Advice on introducing doubts to friend
by gutted ini am asking you for your opinion/advice on questions or ideas to introduce to my friend to make him start doubting the wbts.
no doubt when he sees my new goatee it will be a bit unnerving for him, maybe i could use this as a starting point.
perhaps you have things that have worked others?

How about suggesting to them that you all do research on just what the society was teaching prior to and duringt the 1914-1919 era, I'm sure that if the have half a brain they will be somewhat stunned over what they find.

Experience with housing convention delegates?
by teel ini'm not sure how much was this the custom in other countries, but here during the conventions local jws could offer their homes to those with special needs / who can't afford a hotel, etc.. many years ago as newly wedded couple we decided to offer our house.
we got assigned a middle-aged (around 45) italian guy, who was a bible-study.
fortunately he spoke some of our language, so we understood each other.

We offered ours at one time, and we had an older lady, she was very very nice and even stayed on with us for a month after the convention going out in service and was such a help around the house, cooked, ironed constantly cleaned, she was a pleasure to have, we had her back the following year and she had another sister with her from Oregon who happened to be in the area when the Dc was on, She too was a pleasure to have around, they wanted to do all the household chores but we said no, the children have their assigned jobs and we want them to still do it. They were excellent cooks and again both stayed for about 6 weeks after the Dc. We kept in touch with them, and still see the lady from oregon once in awhile.
Sou our experience was good with that arrangement.
