for those who haven't realized it most horrific gun violence happens in gun free zones. People arent allowed to carry legally in those areas. just like the theatre in colorado, happened in a gun free area/zone. i myself have a number of guns dont hunt but love to go shooting at the ranges. What we never see or almost never see in the press is when a person using a gun protected themselves Why is that, is it because it wont sell papers or support the administrations agenda to have a defenless population?

Why Isn't the USA the Safest Country in the World With All the Guns
by RubaDub inwe have 9 guns for every 10 people in this country.
since more guns = better protection, i keep asking myself why there is so much gun violence here ???.
i don't see such violence in canada, australia, europe, japan and other so-called "advanced" countries.. what is wrong with us here.

IMO no Muslims of any ilk or variety should be allowed to immigrate into any other country but their own. Especially since they don't want religious freedom for others and look at others as wordly er I mean infidels. Doesn't the WT look at others as basically infidels themselves? With that kind of thinking its like trying to drive a 16p nail into the eye of a needle and being successful.
Their rioting and burning of embassies killing of others isn't much advertisment for their religion of peace. I say we ship millions of donkeys over to the middle east and keep the men busy with their love lives so maybe they won't be so hell bent on causing hate and hurt to others.

"in a variation that some term 'embryo adoption,' the embryos placed in a wife's womb involve neither her eggs nor her husband's sperm.
in yet another variation, a married couple's eggs and sperm are fertilized outside the womb by ivf.

I think the question should be in Mary's experience is that did she enjoy it, did it last long enough for her to experience bliss? mythology has no bounds, and how much did the holy spirit enjoy it?

Feel the Goddamned Love
by AK - Jeff inmy mil of 38 years - who has not spoken to me for the 9 years since i left her cult - died on sunday.. today, as a favor to my sil who has spoken to me very rarely, for the same reasons, over the same period of time, i was moving some personal items to her home from the nursing home.
in this instance i guess it is ok to speak with me - if i have a strong back and a conveyance that aids her needs at the moment.. anyway, in the parking lot of the apartment complex where she lives, while we are moving in those items, guess who shows up?
five or six of my old 'best friends'.

Glad she realized that any one who says they are telling the truth but you can't look elsewhere are lying to her or at the least hiding something.

Anthony Morris III... Did he really serve in Vietnam? Something doesn't quite add up...
by Calebs Airplane inborn in 1950, he apparently became a regular pioneer in 1971.. but wait.... let's just say that he enlisted (or was drafted) in 1968 at age 18.... depending on the branch of service, he would have to complete anywhere from 2 to 4 years of service.
yes, duty in hot combat zones was usually limited to 6-months at a time but you still had to serve a total of 2 to 4 years depending on the branch of service.
assuming he only served 2 years, he would have been 20 years old and discharged by 1970.... how did he get witnessed to, complete a book study, become an unbaptized publisher, get baptized and then become a regular pioneer in less than year???.

JW family indoctrination is harming my daughter
by uk_ex_jw ini will cut to the chase quite quickly.. i was a jw up until 2007 when i officially cut my ties, although i was a regular visitor to this site for 3-4 years beforehand.. i married a jw in 2004, had a child, and in 2007 we separated and divorced.
my daughter went to live with her mother.. my ex-wife also left the jw's in 2007 following the breakdown of our marriage.. my daughter is six now and i speak to her every week on the phone - she lives 100+ miles away from me with her mother, her step-father and two younger siblings.. i live with my partner and my two-year-old son.. during school holidays, my daughter comes to stay with me for sometimes a week or on occasions longer.. her maternal, great-grandmother and great auntie are staunch/strict jw's and i know they have been trying to fill my daughters head with watchtower teachings for the past couple of years.. i have contacted her mother and made it clear that i am not happy with this approach.
my daughter celebrates christmas/birthdays etc and any jw teaching is going to be contradictory to this.

maybe you can get a cease and desist against the inlaws as they are harming her mentally. worth a try anyway, and that failing beat them up verbally and put the fear of their god in them. Jdubs have no respect for anyones wishes, or on another note get total custody of your daughter as she is too young to be making up her mind about holidays and birthdays and the inlaws are brain washing her. go to court see what you can do.

Could some of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and Jehovahs Witnesses Governing Body be suffering from Schizophrenia?
by Balaamsass incould some of the watchtower bible and tract society, and jehovahs witnesses governing body be suffering from schizophrenia?.
does it strike you as odd that millions of jehovahs witnesses and the multi-billion dollar watchtower bible and tract society might be directed by men who received a special calling by god as teenagers in the 70s?.
in light of the fact that 99% of jehovahs witnesses accepted the accepted watchtower doctrine that the 144,000 were sealed in 1935, those that suddenly began partaking in later years, (especially untested youth) were frequently met with raised eyebrows and thought of as possibly mentally diseased in times past.. could there be an explanation?

Only be concerned about the opinion of those paying your bills, the way to look at it is how important is what they may think 10/20 years from now. If not important at a later date then piss on them and their opinions.
