  Hello Again

  hi everyone, i joined this site 9 years ago, posted a few times but decided i just didn't want anything to do with the jw's anymore including perusing exjw sites.

  i felt that i just had to completely "detox" myself from this religion, not even talking about how much disgust i had for it.

  it did a wonder of good.......but, i recently came across an article about the australian child abuse cases and started to see what was happening with that, which got me here again.

  And TTATT is on YouTube as jwstruggle and has some excellent videos.

  I'm really enjoying the videos, seeing these 'appointed men' squirm and try to hide from the Royal Commission! You can run but you can't hide.

  Theocratic Warfare

  no doubt we noticed the royal commission ask vin toole (and i think terry o'brien) about the expression "theocratic warfare"?.

  they were asked to explain it and what is meant to witnesses.. vin outrightly lied when he said he "had never heard of that expression!".

  i remember him using that term in conversations and talks many times!!

  I was watching him on the video and I kept thinking this man doesn't know much for being a lawyer. It is so obvious he was trying to avoid answering truthfully and sincerely.

  I've been watching the videos in backward order and it's such an eye opener to see these appointed men try to mislead the Royal Commission. I can't believe it, they're so 'brazen'

  What a cute couple in the videos. I'm glad for them that they are out and have the rest of their lives to live and enjoy while they're still young. If you're lurking and you're young, don't let the WT steal your youth, you can never get that back.

  There have been some posts on facebook, accompanied by the usual exchanges accusing each other of being "apostates"!

  I just blocked a couple of Facebook JW 'friends' who messeged me complaining about my posting about the Royal Commission and giving links to some news articles about it. They said I was an 'apostate' for posting negative stuff about the organization. I didn't even bother to reply, just hit 'block' and 'block'. Good riddance!

  I've been trying to catch up on the videos on YouTube (excellent work on making them accessible) I couldn't stay up in to the wee hours so I appreciate a lot the YouTube videos.

  I never heard the term "theocratic warfare" or don't remember hearing it if I ever did. But the idea behind it has been discussed and studied at meetings always in relation to persecution and looking ahead at the GT when the authorities would come after all JWs.

  BTW is there another public hearing today, August 6th, morning Ozzie time?

  I frankly don't dare say anything in the congregation. I've talked to my roommate and I've posted about it on Facebook. But out of 500+ JW Facebook friends the same response Oppostate got... crickets

  I think that if a brother is in shape a nice fitting suit is quite flattering. Why should they wear a suit that is ill fitting and too baggy? (Then again what do I know, right? I like wearing Spanx! Take that Anthony Morris !!!).

  working with all of the congregation funds after we sent them all back to new york and what have they done.

  In Massachusetts I went to two Kingdom Halls that looked like they were built in the 1950s and smelled like that too, of mold and dead mice.

  I haven't seen any sign of renovations myself, but I do know that volunteer brothers are kept busy with the Warwick site. I'm sure that project will come before any local building project.

  In every congregation I've been in there's always been gossip about pedophilia among the Witnesses. Once you gain the trust of the regular pioneer crowd they're the best source for dirt.

  does anyone in the uk know any details about the above congregation?

  it seems it was disbanded by the co specifically because of "lack of love" and members reassigned to other congregations in the reigate and crawley areas.. i've checked the charities commission web site and the charity was removed in may 2012.. http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/showcharity/registerofcharities/removedcharitymain.aspx?registeredcharitynumber=1066699&subsidiarynumber=0.

  The love in many congregations is always reserved for the new person who starts attending. After that, the real uncaring attitude shows through and through on the part of most Witnesses.

  There are so many unhappy people in the congregations--over-burdened and over-stressed--many don't even like themselves for who they are and what a nervous wreck their life has become from being in slavery to the WT, how can they like or love others?
