I deserve to be shunned I respect their right to shun me
I believe it 100% but I cant live it - your an apostate because you dont believe it, dont mind me I have some fornicating to do..
Im not a judgemental person but I dont like dishonesty to oneself. has anyone else been enraged by the latter attitude of people? i would be interested in more experiences on this topic as I have a couple to share, but I dont want to post an overly long topic as people may be disinclined to read it all. x

I had never seen this. - it seems to me thought that they have a point. - they deny he was ever affiliated with the witnesses, but he did form the WBTS which is still the organization, and they have clearly stayed with his teachings until now, but they havent seemed to look into them any further even though he died years ago.. almost like he was their own personal jesus. I find it interesting how people find something that suits them and then just affix themselves to it. they say that one way to establish what you are is to establish what you arent and they are vehemently doing that arent they?

by Witness 007 incalanders have been shrunk to half {less room for hours} awake is now monthly, the watchtower has a "witness only" edition and now.....the bibles are soft cover like the "book of mormon".......less cash out i guess..

by Witness 007 inwitness yearbooks are full of experiences where jehovah saved a poor witness who prayed for help...and the soldiers walked passed and did not see them etc, etc.
however, other brothers prayed and still got executed by gillotine so...why does gods will allow such things?
isn't this just random chance put down as god's will?

No you all have the simple logic wrong. God and Satan work shifts. - but sometimes God goes on holiday for a couple of weeks or works from home but he checks in via webcam or makes a call to the office. - thats where the miracles in the face of disater come in. - I realised this the other day when my friend had a crap day from hell and it culminated in her parents finding out about one part of it, and they said it must have been Jehovah. - I figured it wasnt his shift for the rest of the day.

Does everyone else get this reaction from their JW family when discussing objections to the religion?
by jambon1 inwhen pointing out my objections to the jw religion with my wife, i have noticed a worrying trend which even after 3 or 4 years shows no sign of relenting.. after speaking calmly for an hour or so and logically pointing out my objections, my wife starts to put forward outrageous assertations about my points.
for instance, if i am refering to the fact that disfellowshipping is a form of extreem punishment & i mention the terrible effects that being d/f'd can have on people, she will eventually retort with something like "so what you are saying is that we should tolerate paedophiles, rapists & thieves in the organisation then?".
of course, i've never at any point said anything of the sort.. or if i have been overly critical of the amount of control the society wants over peoples lives, she would reply "so what you are saying is that we should all just go out & do what we want, get drunk & live an immoral life?

the whole problem with that question spike is you would rely on another DFd one for encouragement and then dump them when you got back in. where is the positive encouragement or friendship in that? - the whole point of outing you is so that you are on your own. - if there was a support group wouldnt it be pointless? its meant to be hard. ypou are effectively saying to all these people on here, let me use you till I am ready to dump you, and I am sorry, thats just not cricket. badly done.
