I just wondered how people feel about this? - do some only mix with other ex witnesses a couple of my friends, and it seems that by definition, they are 'ex witnesses' almost like a religion in itself. - I would never define myself as an 'ex employee of xxx' as you leave it behind it doesnt define you. - it does people good to make friends on the basis of who they are not who they were. - I mean its nice to have some friends who have been in similar circumstances, but not all of your friends? I think it can be unhealthy - but this is only my view and I would be interested in others.

Are There Certain Posters You Trust Here?

having said that, there are a few persons here that know my real identity and i'm comfortable with them.. are there certain posters that you trust here?.

jamie like you I am expelled dont like labels. - Im sure you get elders surfing these sites trying to be the police, and some who are still in I imagne have to be careful, but none of them can hurt me they arent the police they cant control and once I realised that life became a lot easier. Im a very open down to earth and honest person and I feel most on here do come across that way, and are here all for their own genuine reasons.

Beginning on JWN
by Thunderinus ini left the jws three years ago after having done extensive research through the internet where fortunately one can find an enormous amount of information regarding every aspect of the jws it's simply amazing how many websites there are exposing their real nature.
though in the end i don't blame so much the rank and file members who are themselves naive and ignorant victims, rather i blame those governing this organisation who are constantly and ruthlessly deceiving and holding captive in a spiritual sense their hapless followers.. i had several issues with them:.
the blood ban goes too much against common sense why would it be wrong to accept blood from someone that willing gives it and without any coercion or harm to himself precisely out of good kindness with the intention to save lives as indeed millions of lives were saved in this way.

what you say about the blood issue, I always had major misgivings. - even as a baptized witness, I did not carry a card, nor did I allow my kids to carry blood cards at school or anywhere.
- i told my ex this weekend that if anything ever had happened to my kids whilst I was a witness, I would not have prevented blood transfusions. he said what even if they died from the blood? - I just said they tell you that to scare you id do everything I could.
No one has love greater than this, that someone should surrender his soul in behalf of his friends.John 15:13 NWT one could interpret that blood is life thereby you should give blood. -- its all so ambiguous.

Armagedden Suitcase
by Magwitch inmy mother let it slip the other day that all the families in their hall are putting together a small suitcase.
inside this suitcase are to be things that you will take with you if given a 5 minute warning that the great tribulation is starting and you need to leave your home.
my father seemed quite embarrassed that this slipped.

Name Some Stupid Watchtower Rules or Ideas
by minimus inthere's a lot.. one rule that is dumb is that a brother must wear a suit for a sunday public talk that he is giving.
any other time, the brother could wear a suit coat with a different pair of pants and not be counseled for it.. another dumb idea is that you cannot date a person unless you seriously might marry them.
if you're on a date, you were supposed to always have a chaperone and holding hands might not be allowed as well as sitting together.. what other dumb rules and ideas can you add?.

I see Albert thats whats crazy - some congregations insisted brothers had a white shirt when they gave a public talk, - in fact one man told a tale of being offered a change of shirt when he went to give a talk..

cant play sports after school, as its a waste of time as you will never be an athlete because it will interfere with the service.
same applies to drama clubs, orchestras, singing etc..
