heres a summary of todays inbox for me lol..(not all of them cos some are just plain boring)
No 1.. You do seem very focused on what you want in a relationship, which I must say comes across both very refreshing yet intimidating. I'm guessing you don't want to hear a lot of the usual "Your picture looks nice" so I won't. I've tried to get the ball rolling rolling, the rest lovely looking girl, is up to you. he gets me... but I dont fancy him AT ALL...

No 5 I have a tattoo - the line art on my profile is on my thigh reaching out to touch - and i have been told i look better in real life than the photo ( many times) - thats just one way of saying, my ophoto is ugly, I am ugly too, but not quite as ugly as the photo.

@moshe, that having been said if I get so far as to add someone to msn and then they start questioning me about my appearance and so on I lose interest.
one said to me recently , can you cook? I said yes very well thanks, he said oh good. so I said, can you? and he said no. I said, oh thats not good then. - my profile has full photos of me though - stood up, sat down, and in normal situations, - ie not contrived.
one has fangs lol.. my profile is bitchin and evil lol xx

Why no letter for DF'ing?
by sd-7 ini think it was blondie who just replied to chickpea's topic, saying that elders are told not to give people a letter when they are df'ed.
this sparked a matter of curiosity for me.
why is it that people wishing to be reinstated have to write a letter to the body of elders, but the body of elders will not write a letter to a person stating that they are df'ed?

wife took it pretty well i guess...it's over...
by oompa ini guess it only took three years, but they were hell in so many ways for both of us...she was not happy and lived in denial as much as possible...i was not happy and lived in a bottle as much as possible and glad that is over for me....but it was one of the saddest things i have ever experienced in my life....as was the visit to my parents before i told her....but yes...she said she kind of expected it...was thinking something was going to happen soon as she noticed i had more and more trouble saying i love you back to her when she said it on the phone at the end of goodbyes...and when i was leaving the house...i had noticed it for over a year and it was killing me..... i told her how sorry i was for changing so much again....and that she still walks on water...and is a great person and so pretty....and that she will be ok because she was happy single before me for many years and had all she needs for that again...her closeness to jehovah and her freinds in the congregation...she is very close to both and will be ok i hope...it was very surreal....very calm...very sad.
my bitterness and disdain for wt rules came through when talking to my parents and i was very open about how i feel as to their upcoming shunning of me, and how it feels to my son since he was just 17....and how the fear of losing them had kept me trying in my marriage for the past few years...dad was firm in his position of future action....mom said they will still always love me...and will still talk to me until i get dfd.....oh how this hurts.....dad said there is a name for people who only live for themselves and deny god but could not think of what it was....i told him i was not living just for myself...that i am a good person and there are values from him and the bible i hope i always have....i cry so hard as i type this and tell you just so you can know how painful this is....i told him i so loved the rule of treating others how you want to be treated and have always done that...even allowing myself to be wronged on so many occasions to keep peace....... he said that was a good rule....i agreed and said it was a big one too....and that while i could do it...treat him the way i would like to be treated...he would not be able to!.......left as i became emotional...big hug from mom, but i just barely put an arm on dad............oompa.

The ONE 'sin' I NEVER heard of in all my time as a JW . . . . .
by nicolaou ini never heard of any sister having an abortion - doesn't mean it didn't happen, just that i never heard of one.. i've personally known child abusers, closet gays, drunks and thieves all within my time at just 2 congregations.
i know one brother who hid the fact he had blood transfusions at a critical time.
now i'm certainly not lumping in an abortion with acts of abuse or dishonesty, and for the record i don't consider it a 'sin' (whatever that is).

how can you just df someone for abortion what if they are repentant as Iam sure its a harrowing experience for any woman to go through that they will carry forever.
and what would be the purpose. - this is just an excuse for sister gossip to share her juicy morsel. Mary is probably 25 stone. - does this poor girl pose a threat to the cleanliness of the cong? I think not.
and as for gluttony this is one of those things that really Ps me off. - like smoking - eating junk food can cause cancer and is therefore also a defilement of the flesh. - why not df people who go to McDonalds all the time as well as those who smoke..? and do anything that could harm the flesh?
what about piercings? I had my navel done and my stepdad said it was wrong and not to let anyone know in case it stumbled them. - well how is it different from an ear? Im still putting a hole in my body? wtf?

for brit ex pats: is there anything you miss about dear old Blighty?
by highdose inits taken the better part of a year but i'm finaly having pangs of homesickness... it all started when i saw a red london bus ( they use it around here for tourist tours) .. got worse when i went to a out door ex pat event, were it suddenly poured with rain, it was amazing to see the blitz spirt come out!
the locals packed up and left but the brits started singing ( " i'm singing in the rain!
") handing out free wine and chips, almost like a party really, everyone was so happy... and you could see the locals looking at them as if to say " you british werdios!".
