i happened upon a web site called http://circuitleasing.com the other day and just couldn't believe it.
here is a site that is selling the cars that circuit and district overseers have been driving.
they had a contact page to request more info, so i did.
btw the key chain used to be a "No Blood" keychain.
how tacky. talk about "re-gifting".
who saw the apprentice tonight?
for those of you who missed it, it was the season opener.
donald has grouped the candidates into two teams (college graduates and high school graduates).
d'oh, i missed the first show... anyway i think in technical or specialized fields, applied knowledge wins over street smarts...
as i have never been to a church service ( except a wedding which i thought much nicer than our cold and impersonel talks) i wonder if they are as boring and repetitious as our meetings?.
i used to think it was me, that i wasnt spiritual or appreciative enough.
i was so bored.. we would have a talk in the service meeting about how some complain about too many meetings or going over the same stuff, and then promptly say it was our fault!.
in churches you are in a dark, quiet building... beautiful stained-glass windows depicting Jesus, the Virgin Mary, etc. surround the room and sunlight filters in, bathing everything with colored light. the room is filled with pews made of dark rich wood, like mahogany, and behind each seat is a little holder for a book of hyms... at the front of the room is an altar, and anyone can walk in on any day and kneel and pray or meditate. outside, there's a tower and huge bells at the top, which chime and bong on the hour. one of the more beautiful churches here is next door to the civic center, and even on really crowded days with tons of people, you can hear the church bells rise above the din. sometimes i walk across the street and go inside, just to get a nice spiritual fix. here's a picture of it: St. Mary's Bascilica, Phoenix, Arizona. (founded in 1881)

there is a reference to a publication, ibid does any 1know what this stands for????
"ibid" is a Latin word meaning "in the same place". here's an example:
There are certain instances when it is acceptable to use abbreviations in references and citations . One of the most common abbreviations you will come across is 'Ibid' which means 'in the same place' and is used in the reference list when making further reference to the last work cited. You must ensure that you use Ibid for the immediately preceeding work:
Breakwell, G. (1987). A survey of student counselling in higher and further education in the United Kingdom. British Journal of Guidance and Counselling, 15, 285. Ibid, 286-296. |
***this saves the writer from having to type "Breakwell, G. (1987)" again and again...
i figured some of those those in the california bay area might be interested.
i plan on attending if all goes well.
but, if this compound was the reason for this strange experience i had, then it had to be very, very active.
7 more days (tick...tick...tick...)
good luck!
how are you coping?
do you use a cpap machine or did you get surgery to correct your difficulties?
do you dread having to go to sleep, with the possibility that you may never awaken?
wow... no, i don't have anything like that, but i'm sorry for anyone who does. it sounds awful.
when i was a devout jw i would literally look at "apostates" picketing the assemblies and want to spit at them because i hated them that much and felt that they were of satan.
i remember one time i saw an "apostate" walking from the assembly and a friend of mine an myself were actually talking about confronting him and telling him off.
i just cannot believe how much i hated "apostates" when i was a jw.
i never knew any, or ran into any. but i was told they were very evil, so i was afraid of them.
that's what she just told me.
2 elders plan on giving her a shepherding call and will outline exactly what and what not she can do with her granddaughter----now that she is marked.
will outline exactly what and what not she can do with her granddaughter----
well, that sucks with a capital F. who the @##! do they think they are anyway? it's scary the way the sheep just lay down for the elders... i'm no stranger to this BS, but i still am shocked nevertheless every time i read these things...
now that she is marked
