so *that's* what hell is...
besides, i would miss HBO so bad. and tony soprano...
nobody here wants to lived in the new earth aka the coming earthly paradise?
nothing in the bible is symbolic, because saying things that are symbolic in the bible, is like calling jehovah a liar, god would not write something like in the bible, then out of no where, it really means something else... example: 144,000, some people said's that's symbolic, lol yea right.... .
anyway it seems like no one here wants to lived in the new earth, my question is why?

but the witnesses always teach that whole thing in genesis about creation wasn't *literally* six days. they always taught that a single day to us humans could be a thousand days to jehovah. that's also how they explain all the shifting timelines, e.g. 1975.

according to the jw's, the men of sodom will be; no, that is wrong, they will not be; no, they will be...... i got this off of the website: .
http://www.catholic.com/library/stumpers_for_jehovah_witnesse.asp.
the men of sodom will be resurrected (wt, 7-1879, 7-8).
if jerry springer gets hit by a bus 'before armageddon', will he be resurrected? i can only imagine the poor guy's anguish upon waking up in the 'new system of things'. what killed me was my still active niece crying over george harrison and saying ooh i'll get to meet him and won't it be wonderful... why would she want to meet an 'evil immoral practitioner of a satanic religion' like him? it just kills me when witnesses watch stuff like south park and essentially embrace our music and films and books and artists and nightclubs and fads and stuff, when they drum that 'give things of this world no more than a passing glance' crap into them every week at the kingdom hall. why don't they build their own schools so their children don't have to associate with our children; produce their own films/cds/art/blood-free-hospitals, etc? ah, the hypocrisy of it all...

"You do understand that Dating leads to "Fornication" about 70% of the time With Humans....."
let's shoot for an even 100, people!
i'm fairly new to leaving the borg (about a year and a half).
just wondering if anyone else has had a hard time adjusting to dating in the real world?
i don't go by the whole 'we better not date unless we're ready to get married'.
when i first started dating 'worldly men', i found them all to be a thrilling, exciting contrast to the boys at the kingdom halls. i didn't have trouble adjusting to dating itself. my problem i was terribly naive, having led such a sheltered existence, and i fell in love too easily. i also sought out older men, because i wanted experience and wisdom and kindness, which they seemed to have in abundance. but they were also a bit controlling, which got old fast, 'cause i had had enough of that with the witnesses. but you grow from your experiences, and soon learn that all men don't want to control you, and that many 'worldly' men are a thousand times more enlightened, spiritual and emotionally mature than any jw dude... good luck.
i just got an email from my jw-elder-dad (correspondence is rare).
mom & dad will not be attending my grandfather's funeral because it is a military ceremony.
the response is so borg-conceived i must quote some:.
or zombie elixir. same thing. it was his *father*, for chrissakes. any organization that puts itself before the family sucks with a capital 'F'.
~a thousand times goodnight.

i'm new and have been browsing some of the posts and am surprised to find active witnesses here, pissing and moaning about this board and how other posters are mean to them, cursing at them, etc.
well i'm just curious as to why an active member of the wtbts would want to fraternize with a whole lotta ex-jw's.
i mean, that's why i came here, to find other exiles like myself.
hello violet. you wrote:
"Not all the witnesses are bad...."
trust me, they *are*. they are indeed all one, after all. it's so refreshing to see others refer to them as 'the borg'. i thought i was the only one who did that. who knew?
and i'm not 'bitter'. just...still pissed off about a few things. major things. i think it's cool that you moved on and whathaveyou. one day, perhaps i will be at that place too. part of getting there for me is talking it out. thanks for your post, though. i really do like to read everyone's opinions.
