it's a balancing act.
it is impossible to please everyone all the time and i don't go out of my way to try to please anyone ... i just do what i think is right.. some good examples are controversial topics: if i lock or delete something that is controversial then i am accused of "stiffling free speech".

there is only one person on earth i would intentionally die for, and that is my son. without hesitation.
but i would risk my life for a stranger if that stranger were a child in peril. for example, if i was walking down the street and saw someone attempting to abduct a child, i would try to save them, even if it meant i might get injured or killed. i just can't stand to see anyone hurt an innocent, defenseless being. (this isn't extraordinary - i'm sure many here would do the same thing.)
i doubt that the witnesses feel the same way. they'd probably have to call up someone and ask them what to do, the wusses. and if it was a "worldy" child? god help them...
well it's thanksgiving today.. yes today is the day families get together and enjoy the company of those we love.. if you are an apostate as we are....this isn't the case.
today our witness families and friends will be getting together and eating a big turkey dinner also....they always do.
are you sad today of the reminder that this religion has broke this relationship?
Yes I am lonely. I have not gone to meetings for 2 years and my family will not have much to do with me,not that they are celebrating. I just moved here and have only met a couple of people. One of them post here on this board and she is my new roommate, she invited me ;. I don't know if I will go,don't know anyone except her. I told her I was thinking about going back to the meetings and she told me to check out this site. I did'nt know it was a ANTI-Jehovah's Witness site. Sorry , I am just babbleing.
dear bootsie: i'm sorry you are lonely. (you're not babbling, by the way.)
if you are thinking about going back to meetings, don't go back out of loneliness. i know it's hard to believe, but after a while, you will make new friends in your life and you won't be lonely anymore. once i stopped missing my jw relatives, i was able to move into my new life and embrace everything that came into it, good and bad, at least it was my own. just remember you don't need them to be happy.
