  I went through a very overly analytical period because I was raised with a lot of criticism...I wonder if a lot of born ins or almost born ins like myself do that?

  For one thing, I was always wondering what the hell was wrong with me because I found the "Truth" so indigestible intellectually and emotionally...it took me a long while to realize that it's supposed to give you mental indigestion, because it's CRAP. LOL

  I'm fifty years old and it's only been within the last few years that I'm able to take things as they come.

  i love chicken pie.

  the calories are terrible for a pie crusted chicken pie dinner but i love it.. and i love milk chocolate covered candy such as raisinettes or raspberry chocolate candies..

  Bacon...chocolate is good for you in moderation and doesn't count. Bacon is never that good for you...it's basically around 90% lard and loaded with salt and nitrates. Won't kill you if you don't eat it everyday, but it's still not the healthiest food around.

  Really huge farts...

  I'm sure that winged representations of angels are purely a human convention. To us, wings represent flight...it's a metaphor. Notice that some angels in the Bible don't have wings at all..the messenger angels sent to warn humans or talk to them often don't have them. Only cherubs and the archangels and seraphs...I guess rank and file angels look like very attractive humans, at least most of the time, when they manifest to humans.

  supposedly, a realm that transcends nature.. what is nature?.

  nature is existencethe sum of that which is.. it is usually called nature when we think of it as a system of interconnected, interacting entities governed by law.. so nature really means the universe of entities acting and interacting in accordance with their identities.. what, then, is super-nature?.

  Do you see that little period I put up at the top in the middle of this post? That represents what I know about the universe if the rest of this comment box represents the universe.

  Well, it's probably even less than that, but a dot is the smallest thing I can put on the page.

  So, I might be calling it the "supernatural" now, but someday, maybe, it'll just be general knowledge. A lot of things we used to think were "magic" we now understand and can explain.

  So, who am I to say what exists out in the universe and what doesn't? I don't know enough to even know what the difference is between reality and the supernatural or if there is a difference, I only know what I know and I'm pretty sure it's inadequate to the task of answering this question, except from my own point of view and from what I know.

  The reason that therapists don't treat themselves is that it's generally thought that it's not possible to completely disengage and be objective enough to do so.

  We can be objective ENOUGH to be logical, when necessary but we're not constructed psychologically to be totally able to step outside of ourselves.

  Self interest is too important of a survival trait, for one thing. We're all born totally self involved, and that lessens as we mature enough for us to care for others and display social cooperation, but people who are too self sacrificing (masochistic) and self-disinterested (depression is manifested this way, for example) are considered psychologically unbalanced or even ill.

  If you ever watch the science fiction series "Battlestar Galatica" the new version, they have a universe where there is religion, but no Christ or Christianity.

  They do a good job of it, but humans have always had some sort of religion, so I've never seen any sort of alternate universe or earth parallel fiction where there was total elimination of spiritual or religious thought unless the future represented is a repressive, dark and dystopian one.

  It's interesting that the only way you can completely eliminate religion or spiritually oriented discussion, belief or philosophy among humans is by some sort of totalitarian repression.

  It's just one of those things that you have to allow in a free society, no matter how much it might grind your gears individually. It's called tolerance. I don't think a society has to tolerate violence or crime, or dangerous propaganda in the name or religion, though. That's crossing a line where tolerance doesn't apply any more, criminals give up their right to be tolerated by violating certain generally accepted social rules.

  Have They Found Noah's Ark ? - Again.....

  "there is a story circulating around the net, started by a group called noahs ark ministries, which claims they have found noahs ark on mount ararat in turkey.. a group of chinese and turkish evangelical explorers say they have brought back wood specimens from atop mount ararat in turkey that they believe to be from noahs ark.

  claiming they found a wood structure with compartments and samples that date carbon date to 4,800 years ago, they say it is 99% certain it is the ark of biblical fame.

  The earth started out as a huge sea, and that's where life began...but since then, there hasn't been any time that geologists can see where all of the earth was completely under water. You can tell from the plant and animal fossils found whether an area was under water or not in any geologic time period.

  Even if all the polar ice caps melted, we'd still have mostly dry land. The water level would rise about 61 meters everywhere.

  However, that would eliminate most of our present coastlines, no doubt about it.
