What would cause the division:
Luke 12
49 “I came to start a fire on the earth, and what more is there for me to wish if it has already been lighted? 50 Indeed, I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and how I am being distressed until it is finished! 51 Do YOU imagine I came to give peace on the earth? No, indeed, I tell YOU , but rather division. 52 For from now on there will be five in one house divided, three against two and two against three. 53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against [her] mother, mother-in-law against [her] daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against [her] mother-in-law.”
His Baptism is what causes the division.
There are Jehovah's Witnesses who realize they have been baptized in the name of God's Spirit Directed Organization.
Once deceived they ask to be baptized according to the way Jesus Christ commanded instead.
That is how I was eventually disfellowshipped. --- Shunned by friends and family - Division in the household.
The judicial committe hearing was easy.
I could answer every single question with; "I want to obey Jesus Christ".
They still disfellowshipped me.
I caused them distress as well.
I was more worried about it causing Jesus Christ distress!
Indeed, I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and how I am being distressed until it is finished!
There are also now thousands and thousands of Jehovah's Witness young people who refuse to be baptised in the Name of "God's Spirit Directed Organization".
They would rather their family divide than cause distress to Jesus Christ.

Paul is talkng about the time immediately before Jesus Christ returns.
So what temple is the temple of The God?
The true Christian Temple.
The temple that Jesus Christ inaugurated with his own blood.
Now consider this end time scripture:
Isaiah 66:5-6
5 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: “Y OUR brothers that are hating YOU , that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame.” 6 There is a sound of uproar out of the city, a sound out of the temple! It is the sound of Jehovah repaying what is deserved to his enemies.
Are there any end time Christian religions who exclude (disfellowship) righteous men through the use of God's actual name?

Judaism...Islam...Christianity...and now the Watchtower religion
by Terry injudaism, islam and christianity all have faced the same problems.. their total devotion to the supernatural eventually conflicts with everyday life and makes for failure, despondency and conflict.. each of the 3 religions has reacted to the modern world by the same process.
schism followed by anti-mainstream rhetoric.. for judaism, in the 1st century, jews either clung to the sacrificial system of priests or formed messianic apocalyptic cults or went off into the desert away from everybody and everything.. for muslims, when muhammed died without naming a successor, schisms led to internal wars and the rise of shiaa and sunni struggling for dominance.
when swallowed by the turkish empire, muslims tried combining politics with religion and failed.

Passive-agressive commentary is not the same thing as point of view. I know what I stand for and what my role on JW-net is. I want to provoke
people to re-examine what they consider core belief and expose it to self-scrutiny.
I provide various topics to engage others in thoughtful discussion to flush out what the source of their "absolutes" in life really are.
After scrutinizing what you have said in the above thread I can see only one solution.
Get rid of all the hypocrites and those who refuse to obey Jesus Christ.
Nothing else seems to work because it is constantly undermined.
Matthew 13
The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels. 40 Therefore, just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things. 41 The Son of man will send forth his angels, and they will collect out from his kingdom all things that cause stumbling and persons who are doing lawlessness, 42 and they will pitch them into the fiery furnace. Guess that makes me identify with Christianity.

Why do JW's downplay older WT articles?
by mamalove ini was looking at brotherdan's thread about the two articles that really point out in the wtbs's own words that we must follow this organization, blah blah, and they are indeed a cult from reading those articles.
it made me think that i would love to show my mom and sister that, but i know the response would be "so what, that is a 40 year old magazine," it was dated 1969, and 1983 was the other article i believe.. are the jw's i know the only ones who poo poo older articles and say that thinking isn't up to date anymore, that new thinking has superceded those new articles?
even though we know that the overall thinking is the same.

Jesus Christ gave a commandment in the above scripture.

I am convinced that it is not permanent.
Why?
An extra name is added to the baptismal vow as follows.
"Do you understand that your baptism identifies you as a Jehovah's Witness in association with God's Spirit Directed Organization"
When you are disfellowshipped the wild beast itself makes an announcement from the Kingdom Hall platform:
"[name of person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness"
(page 154 "Organized to do Jehovah's Will)
They then shun you, they are no longer in association with you.
The wild beast itself recinds your vows and removes its mark.
How can you continue to have the "mark" of the wild beast, if the wild beast itself removes it's own mark.
It is not permanent.
Otherwise, how could Jesus Christ say; "get out of her my people".
And I caught sight of a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored wild beast that was full of blasphemous names and that had seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls and had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her fornication. 5 And upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great,abe

How to write a letter of D/A... and what happens when I do?
by confliction infirst off, i'm almost definite somebody else has already posted, asked this question, but i'm too lazy to look right now lol.... about half a year of contemplation, evaluation, and calculation has led up to making this decision, so here it is.. .
because of a multitude of circumstances, i don't believe fading will be an option as i originally thought, and i frankly refuse to waste any more years of my life trying to pretend to believe something i clearly do not, and preserve a connection to people who don't even have the decency to speak to me or befriend me as a fellow human being.
i am alienated as it is- i guess i'm just a weird and shy person, and that will not change anytime soon.. i plan to - in the coming months when the time is right - present a letter of disassociation from the congregation, and the watchtower society.. .

12 jesus commanded his followers to baptize new disciples in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
