I must admit that there is not one parable in the bible that can't be understood by a 5 year old. Maybe one or two but a 10 year old could grasp those. In regards to Satan not understanding a parable in the bible... I am not sure I can buy that. So if Satan were to read some of the parables of Jesus he wouldn't understand them is what you guys are saying? sosoconfused, What I am saying is that there is evidence that Satan had absolutely no idea what the old testament riddles meant. If he did understand them then he would not have manipulated the circumstances that lead to Jesus Christs crucifixion. But he did! That Satan had read the old testament scriptures is clearly proven in the new testament. Is it safe to also assume that he has now read the new testament? Is it also safe to assume that he also does not properly understand the new testament riddles and symbology? As evidenced by his actions in the first century after having proved that he read the old testament. abe

Skeptic - I don't think there is enough evidence to believe in god
Christian - You are the evidence that there is a God.
Skeptic - How can I be evidence that there is a God?
Christian - Where then do you think you came from?
Skeptic - I have no idea, but eventually I think acredited scientists with diplomas and certificates will be smart enought to think of an answer.
Christian - That takes an enormous amount of faith in the scientists ability to think.
Skeptic - That is why I am willing to wait. Simply because I have faith that intelligent men have the knowledge and ability to figure it out.
Christian - But when you see what is happening around the world does that not measure the value of what intelligent men are thinking.
Skeptic - Of course not.
Christian - Is that because the most intelligent men in the world are not intelligent enought to make a difference?
Skeptic - Yes, but its better than believing we were created by God.
Christian - Your faith in something that has absolutely no evidence is enormous!
Skeptic - That is what I am going to believe until you can prove that I was created by God.
Christian - I am going to continue believing that I was created by God unless you can prove that whatever ponzi scheme the most intelligent men in the world can come up with next, is better than that.

sosoconfused,
There is no mystery or riddle about what a person needs to do to save their life.
It was plainly explained by Jesus Christ himself.
What I find mysterious is why I can find no one actually doing what he plainly said.
That is the mystery which can be resolved through the riddles and symbology.

Skeptic - How can I be evidence that there is a God?
Christian - Where then do you think you came from?
Skeptic - I am the result of an accident that occured in a puddle of chemical soup from billions of years ago.
Christian - How do you know that?
Skeptic - Acredited scientists with diplomas and certificates told me thats how it happened.
Christian - Where is their evidence?
Skeptic - They don't have any
Christian - So you have faith in scientists?

Colossians 1:25-26
I became a minister of this [congregation] in accordance with the stewardship from God which was given me in YOUR interest to preach the word of God fully, 26 the sacred secret that was hidden from the past systems of things and from the past generations. But now it has been made manifest to his holy ones,
It was only after Jesus Christ's crucifixtion and resurrection that the Apostles understood its significance and meaning. The "riddles" in the old testament which no previous generation understood (including Satan himself!) made complete sense.
An enormous number of Jews today still do not understand this.
But hey, thats another mystery:
Romans 11:25-26
For I do not want YOU, brothers, to be ignorant of this sacred secret, in order for YOU not to be discreet in your own eyes: that a dulling of sensibilities has happened in part to Israel until the full number of people of the nations has come in, 26 and in this manner all Israel will be saved. Just as it is written: "The deliverer will come out of Zion and turn away ungodly practices from Jacob.
There is a reason why the Jews do not understand those old testament riddles!

This is why there are so many difficult to understand riddles and symbolgies in the Bible:
Matthew 4:5-7
Then the Devil took him along into the holy city, and he stationed him upon the battlement of the temple 6 and said to him: "If you are a son of God, hurl yourself down; for it is written, ‘He will give his angels a charge concerning you, and they will carry you on their hands, that you may at no time strike your foot against a stone.’" 7 Jesus said to him: "Again it is written, ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’"
It only started to become apparent to the Apostles some time after Jesus Christs death and resurrection that everything happened exactly the way the old testament "riddles" said it would happen.
Jesus Christ was crucified because Satan arranged the circumstances for this to happen.
If Satan had understood then he would not have done what he did.
In this present time that we are living in, the Bible says that Satan would mislead the entire inhabited earth.
If God simply came out and explained in plain terms how Satan would do this then Satan would read the bible and then choose some other way for his deception.
The symbology and mystery however, help us understand exactly how Satan would mislead us.
The reason the Bible is written in a mysterious way is to help us ....... and not Satan.

What about your vow to Jehovah?

a watcher,
The reason I was disfellowshipped from the WTBTS is due to my examination of the vows I had made and their implications.
Yes, I made a baptismal vow to Jesus Christ and Jehovah:
1/ w85 6/1 p. 30 Subjecting Ourselves to Jehovah by Dedication
On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
I continue to have no problem with that vow.
This is the vow that I deeply regret and now feel very humiliated that I allowed myself to be deceived by it:
2/ w85 6/1 p. 30 Subjecting Ourselves to Jehovah by Dedication
Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in association with God’s spirit-directed organization?
My regret started happening after reading this 1951 Watchtower Magazine Article:
w55 7/1 p. 411 Christian Baptism for the New World Society
15 A Christian, therefore, cannot be baptized in the name of the one actually doing the immersing or in the name of any man, nor in the name of any organization, but in the name of the Father, the Son and the holy spirit.
I was very dismayed and angered that the governing body actually had the audacity and presumption to re-invent Jesus Christs baptismal commandment. The consequences of their audacity is cleary stated by Jesus Christ himself:
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."
I want Jesus Christ to be with me!
Being party to any organization that causes Jesus Christ to be distressed through the re-invention of his commanded baptism is not something I want.
Luke 12:49-50
49 "I came to start a fire on the earth, and what more is there for me to wish if it has already been lighted? 50 Indeed, I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and how I am being distressed until it is finished!

How to treat Bible prophesies
by raymond frantz inhi guys i'm writing a new article for my website about prophesies ,please let me know what you think and give me some feedback .the page is dedicated to prophesy interpretation from ex-jehovah's witnesses that don't agree with the interpretation of the watchtower http://new-jw.org/prophesies/.
"there is a fine line between interpreting prophesy and imposing this interpretation upon others as a doctrine.
a true christian who is faithful and discreet should never attempt to cross this line .the word of god provides with guidelines on how to treat prophesy .paul in 1 thessalonians 5:20 warns us "do not treat prophesyings with contempt.".

Here is another prophecy that helps cement what is actually happening in the final days with regard to; "the wild beast" and its profound connnection to the "sons of Jacob" mentioned in Genesis Chapter 49.
All you have to do is contemplate the adjectives and verbs in these sciriptures to understand the implication:
Daniel 7:7-8
7 "After this I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! a fourth beast, fearsome and terrible and unusually strong. And it had teeth of iron, big ones. It was devouring and crushing, and what was left it was treading down with its feet. And it was something different from all the [other] beasts that were prior to it, and it had ten horns. 8 I kept on considering the horns, and, look! another horn, a small one, came up in among them, and there were three of the first horns that were plucked up from before it. And, look! there were eyes like the eyes of a man in this horn, and there was a mouth speaking grandiose things.
Daniel 7:23
23 "This is what he said, ‘As for the fourth beast, there is a fourth kingdom that will come to be on the earth, that will be different from all the [other] kingdoms; and it will devour all the earth and will trample it down and crush it.
Micah 3:1-4:1
3 And I proceeded to say: "Hear, please,YOU heads of Jacob and YOU commanders of the house of Israel. Is it not YOUR business to know justice? 2 YOU haters of what is good and lovers of badness, tearing off their skin from people and their organism from off their bones; 3 YOU the ones who have also eaten the organism of my people, and have stripped their very skin from off them, and smashed to pieces their very bones, and crushed [them] to pieces like what is in a widemouthed pot and like flesh in the midst of a cooking pot. 4 At that time they will call to Jehovah for aid, but he will not answer them. And he will conceal his face from them in that time, according as they committed badness in their dealings.5 "This is what Jehovah has said against the prophets that are causing my people to wander, that are biting with their teeth and that actually call out, ‘Peace!’ that, when anyone does not put [something] into their mouths, also actually sanctify war against him, 6 ‘Therefore YOU men will have night, so that there will be no vision; and darkness YOU will have, so as not to practice divination. And the sun will certainly set upon the prophets, and the day must get dark upon them. 7 And the visionaries will have to be ashamed, and the diviners will certainly be disappointed. And they will have to cover over the mustache, all of them, for there is no answer from God.’"8 And, on the other hand, I myself have become full of power, with the spirit of Jehovah, and of justice and mightiness, in order to tell to Jacob his revolt and to Israel his sin.9 Hear, please, this, YOU head ones of the house of Jacob and YOU commanders of the house of Israel, the ones detesting justice and the ones who make even everything that is straight crooked; 10 building Zion with acts of bloodshed and Jerusalem with unrighteousness. 11 Her own head ones judge merely for a bribe, and her own priests instruct just for a price, and her own prophets practice divination simply for money; yet upon Jehovah they keep supporting themselves, saying: "Is not Jehovah in the midst of us?There will come upon us no calamity." 12 Therefore on account of YOU men Zion will be plowed up as a mere field, and Jerusalem herself will become mere heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the house will be as the high places of a forest.4 And it must occur in the final part of the days [that] the mountain of the house of Jehovah will become firmly established above the top of the mountains, and it will certainly be lifted up above the hills; and to it peoples must stream.
Genesis 49:1-2
49 Later on Jacob called his sons and said: "Gather yourselves together that I may tell YOU what will happen to YOU in the final part of the days. 2 Assemble yourselves and listen, YOU sons of Jacob, yes, listen to Israel YOUR father.
Hope that helped

Genesis 49:22-26
22 "Offshoot of a fruit-bearing tree, Joseph is the offshoot of a fruit-bearing tree by the fountain, that propels its branches up over a wall. 23 But the archers kept harassing him and shot at him and kept harboring animosity against him. 24 And yet his bow was dwelling in a permanent place, and the strength of his hands was supple. From the hands of the powerful one of Jacob, from there is the shepherd, the stone of Israel. 25 He is from the God of your father, and he will help you; and he is with the Almighty, and he will bless you with the blessings of the heavens above, with the blessings of the watery deep lying down below, with the blessings of the breasts and womb. 26 The blessings of your father will indeed be superior to the blessings of the eternal mountains, to the ornament of the indefinitely lasting hills. They will continue upon the head of Joseph, even upon the crown of the head of the one singled out from his brothers.
