Anyone Here Used to Fear Persecution?

i was thinking today about how i no longer have to fear the attack of satan against the jws.

i used to fear being rounded up and beaten by mobs.

seeing my family tortured.

I was disfellowshipped because I spoke up about the reprehensible things they did to Jesus Christs commanded baptism.

I am constantly being shunned, reproached, persecuted and no doubt they continue to lyingly say wicked things about me.

Matthew 5:11-12

　"Happy are YOU when people reproach YOU and persecute YOU and lyingly say every sort of wicked thing against YOU for my sake. 12 　Rejoice and leap for joy, since YOUR reward is great in the heavens; for in that way they persecuted the prophets prior to YOU.

The Apostasy Within

in the latest watchtower (july 15, 2014, page 14, paragraph 10) it says; today, jehovahs people are not often confronted with apostasy within the congregation.

still, when exposed to unscriptural teachings, regardless of the source, we must decisively reject them.. so, not often, but occasionally jws are exposed to apostasy within the congregation, and they are instructed to decisively reject it.

as we all know, the vast majority of the apostasy they are exposed to comes from the governing body.. i am meeting up soon with an old friend from the 1970s who i havent seen for decades, who is still an active jw, and who would really like to hear what i think about things.

They claim much more than that!

To hold to the headship of Christ, it is therefore necessary to obey the organization that he is personally directing. Doing what the organization says is to do what he says. Resisting the organization is to resist him.

So what you could do to make him think is quote the above Watchtower Magazine statement and then read this commandment from Jesus Christ:

　He said: "Look out that YOU are not misled; for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The due time has approached.’ Do not go after them.

A Christian is a person who obeys Jesus Christ!

It is my conviction that the biggest internal apostacy was the re-inventing of Jesus Christs baptimal commandment to include a vow to themselves.

That is what they mean by; "God's Spirit Directed Organization" isn't it ....................... themselves and a number of other brothers?

Does Christianity Need The Bible

christianity began it's formation without the bible.

the bible, as we know it, is a collection of what were very old texts when they were assembled by christian leaders in the late second and third centuries because they were deemed to be inspired by god.. whether they really were inspired by god or not is now open to debate, but should they prove to not be, it should not undermine christianity as an establishment.. discuss......

Yep, when I carefully measure what is happing in the world and realize that everything that Jesus Christ said would happen, is really happening, I am in complete awe!

How could someone who about 2000 years ago foretell what would happen and be so exactly correct?

The bible has helped me understand that he deserves all the glory!

Without the bible, what is happening in the world would make no sense.

Are all JWs united in their beliefs?

No, they are not united in their "beliefs".

They are united by a coercive set of man made rules with such unthinkable consequences that it guarantees the outward appearance of unity.

They are prisoners behind a whitewashed wall.

"Beliefs" are something completely different that can only exist outside of that kind of environment.

I think that many of these conspiracy theories are having great success in distracting people from what is really happening.

does anyone gave experience with a puppy that nipps/mouths consistently?

i got a puppy a week ago, i tryed everything, he mouths a lot, its not aggesive, but he's 3 months and 37 pounds so it does not ticlke lol.

When he bites your hand, grasp a hold of his lower jaw firmly (yes, right around his teeth) and hold it still, while saying; "No".

A puppy will feel very uncomfortable when you do this.

If you hold his lower jaw firmly and keep it still, he will eventually start to whine.

When he whines, release him.

He will associate biting with something very uncomfortable and also come to realize that he is under your subjection.

If you Believe in the Lord's Supper

so this time of year we get all of the feedback about how the majority of jws (and we) didn't partake.. if you self identify as a christian what do you believe about the bread and wine.

are you catholic and believe in transubstantiation, or greek orthodox and believe in the mystery of the real eucharist, or protestant and believe only in the symbolism of the bread and wine.. do you serve grape juice and soda crackers (chruch of christ i attended), real wine, real matzah, wafer, other.. do you take communion daily, weekly, monthly, annually.. how important is communion to you..

Did not feel any reason to join yet another denomination after I was disfellowshipped because of what Paul said to the Romans while quoting Hosea:

Romans 9:26

and in the place where it was said to them, ‘YOU are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘sons of the living God.’"

[Name of person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness --- ‘YOU are not my people,’

It's a done deal.

Think God was more concerned about knowledge than wisdom.

The proverbs were written to help someone gain wisdom.

I think knowledge is something different.

There are people who know how to build an atomic bomb but wise enough not to.

A name that reaches right up to heaven and taunts Jehovah to his very face!

Revelation 18:4-5
