You have to face the facts that Jesus is king and that you will not die before the fulfillment of bible prophecies. Jesus is just waiting another 2,000 years......:(
Looks to me like most believers just want to give themselves permission to keep sleeping.
All the really cool stuff that Jesus Christ said would happen will just continue to elude them.
On the other hand I am very happy that I finally woke up!
Revelation 16:15-16
"Look! I am coming as a thief. Happy is the one that stays awake and keeps his outer garments, that he may not walk naked and people look upon his shamefulness." And they gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har–Ma·ged´on.

Hello believers... Do you still believe in prophecies?
Absolutely!
It is my conviction that end time prophecies have been unfolding right under everyones noses for at least the past 100 years.
The overwhelming amount evidence should drive away any thought of skepticism.
Ex-JW's are the most likely candidates to understand the evidence. (and some do!)
In fact I am convinced the EX-JW community is the main target audience of the bible.
That is why I visit this forum.
What Jesus Christ said would happen, is really happening!

Some of the sisters in my (EX) congregation are amazing cooks!
Yep, ............. miss that!
i'm watching the bill nye vs. ken ham debate.
there is this scientist (raymond vahan damadian) referred by ken who invented the mri.
raymond says he's a young earth creationist, that he beleives the earth was created on six 24 hours long days.. how can somebody that smart completely ignore all the evidences that proves that the biblical view of earth's origin is wrong?.
That's unusal for a scientist to come out and admit to creation.
Pretty much guaranteed to kill his career.
Scientists are well advised to keep their creationist convictions in the closet.
Why subject themselves to being blackballed when all they have to do is keep their mouth shut?
The circumstance is very similar to JW's who don't want to be disfellowshipped.

whats in a name?
posted on april 15, 2014 by barbara anderson http://watchtowerdocuments.org/whats-in-a-name/ .entry-meta-icons .entry-meta .
.entry-header one morning at bethel in 1989, after the usual text discussion before breakfast, there was an announcement to the staff about the legalization of jehovahs witnesses in poland.
Barbara,
Yes, there is some truly insidious evil and duplicity happening in that Society.
But hey, what about some even more insidious names which are only known internally.
Such as; "God's Spirit Directed Organization".
Yes, on the surface it doesn't sound like much of a name until we consider that it is ranked right in amongst those other names that Jesus Christ gave us in his baptismal commandment with an insistance that this extra name is a requirement for salvation.
So what is in this extra name that Jehovah's Witnesess are compelled to make a vow to?
Page 109 of the book; "Jehovah's Witnesses - Proclaimers of God's Kingdom" gives the answer!
How "God's Spirit Directed Organization" is organized, gets explained on that page.
After that "organizational" arrangement was put into action this is what page 109 quotes the Governing Body as saying:
jv chap. 9 p. 109 Jehovah’s Word Keeps Moving Speedily (1976-1992)
After the committees had been operating for some months, the Governing Body observed: "It has proved beneficial to have a number of brothers taking counsel together to consider the interests of the Kingdom work."
The name; "God's Spirit Directed Organization" is "a number of brothers" ----------------- a man's number!
So what's in a name?
This relegates the identification of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society to something even more insidious than just "a cult".
Cult, is an understatement.
It's a beast!
Everything Jesus Christ said would happen, is really happening!

the just of the account, two people enter a city and can not .
find lodging.
an old man invite them to stay with him (levite).. this is so weird, all the men of the city come to have sex with.
'27 When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold.
28 He said to her, “Get up; let’s go.” But there was no answer. '
..Besides the fact that he gave her up as a sacrifice to be gang raped, his total lack of concern or awareness of what she has been through at this point suddenly strikes me as unrealistically callous, having read this again.. We wouldn't even act in that way with a dog that has just been massively abused, can you imagine?? ''alright, you've had a lie down now boy, let's go..''
Lets look at the other side of the story because maybe there is something we can learn from it.
This man was likely also a Benjaminite.
One of the most righteous ones because he actually did take the time to offer a traveller some hospitality by allowing him to stay in his home whereas all the other Benjaminites ignored the traveller.
I would guess that this man was outraged at what his "brothers" had done and wanted justice.
Could he go to those same brothers and demand justice and actually expect anything to happen?
Could he send a letter to all the heads of the other tribes explaining the situation and expect anything more than a ho hum?
What would be a good way to get their attention so they might actually do something?
Sending body parts got their attention!
That is what it took.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now think of all the atrocities that occur in Kingdom Halls of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Paedophiles who get a slap on the wrist.
Sisters being raped and then blamed for not screaming loud enough.
Rapists getting away with their crime because there was not two witnesses.
Is there any justice actually happening?
Does anyone in the Watchtower give a damn?
Do any of these thousands of injustices get the media attention they deserve?
The Watchtower just sweeps them under the carpet and continues in its course.
It is a measure of the sick sad world we are living in right now.
Not very different to the world that Benjaminite was living in.
I personally think that to get anyones attention, something similar to what that righteous Benjaminite did has to happen to wake people up.
The world needs to know.

Who would like to live in a country ruled by the sort of men who would invent this stuff? I feel the closest thing we have to this world-view today is the least civilized areas of afghanistan.
Hearing a lot of this kind of activity happening in India.
Gang rape seems to be an acceptable pastime there!

i you have a desire to understand the origin of christianity, this book may start you on the way to understanding the way it happened.
i truly doubt that the formation of a completely new religion was the intention of jesus.it is much more likely he really thought that he was about to restore the kingdom of israel, as he promised the twelve that they would rule with him ( luke 22:30).. i havn't had a chance to read this book yet, but the list of contributing scholars instantly appeals.its published by the biblical archeology society.. here's the list of chapter headings and the scholars who wrote that entry.. partingshow judaism & christianity became two - softcovernew from bas!.
edited by hershel shanks.
I certainly changed from Jew to Christian because of prophesy and miracles in the bible. When I was taught that Jesus was the promised Messiah and it was foretold in the book of Daniel Ch9.24-27, I thouroughly believed it, until I recalculated the prophecy with my son and realised that there was a miscalculation with regard to King Artexerxes rule.
All the "higher critics" and the Watchtower are wrong!
The "going forth of the word" had NOTHING to do with Artexerxes!
The "going forth of the word to rebuild" happened in the 1st Century!
Acts 15:13-18
After they quit speaking, James answered, saying: "Men, brothers, hear me. 14 Sym´e·on has related thoroughly how God for the first time turned his attention to the nations to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written, 16 ‘After these things I shall return and rebuild the booth of David that is fallen down; and I shall rebuild its ruins and erect it again, 17 in order that those who remain of the men may earnestly seek Jehovah, together with people of all the nations, people who are called by my name, says Jehovah, who is doing these things, 18 known from of old.’
I bolded it because it is black and white.
You're an adult. Read it yourself. It's right there in the scriptures!
There is no gray area here except to wonder what kind of BS the Watchtower is teaching people!

christianity began it's formation without the bible.
the bible, as we know it, is a collection of what were very old texts when they were assembled by christian leaders in the late second and third centuries because they were deemed to be inspired by god.. whether they really were inspired by god or not is now open to debate, but should they prove to not be, it should not undermine christianity as an establishment.. discuss......
