Does the bible have a central theme? Does it prove inspiration?

there seems to be a general consensus throughout christian religions that there is a consistent theme throughout the bible.
the seeming evidence of a theme coming from a collection of books written by over 40 different authors over a period of 1500 years is what givse credence to the claim that the bible is an inspired literary work.

So a bunch of ancient authors invented and cumulatively wrote a book that influences over a billion peoples lives today?
Those ancient authors must have really wanted to be read!
Some of them were just fishermen or sheep herders.
They must have done something right!
If they were not divinely inspired then they must have been genius!
No other authors have ever come close to their success.
Their combined genius and book continues to eclipse all and any other writer that lives or has lived.
But hey, not only that, everything they said would happen, is really happening!

An author who wants to be read would just pump sunshine and excitement.
The bible doesn't do that.
It tells us the good and the bad.
It tells us the stuff we don't want to hear.
Any author writing a contemporary book would likely flop if he did the same.

I am convinced that a future generation will read these forums and be amazed that so many Christians disregarded all the very profound and overwhelming evidences happening all around them for their own selfish convenience:
Isaiah 30:8-11
"Now come, write it upon a tablet (forum) with them, and inscribe it even in a book, that it may serve for a future day, for a witness to time indefinite. 9 For it is a rebellious people, untruthful sons, sons who have been unwilling to hear the law of Jehovah; 10 who have said to the ones seeing, ‘YOU must not see,’ and to the ones having visions, ‘YOU must not envision for us any straightforward things. Speak to us smooth things; envision deceptive things. 11 Turn aside from the way; deviate from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease just on account of us.’"
The testimonies are being inscribed in this and many other forums.

my first post! (long read sorry in advance)

i've always been a very curious person with tons of questions about everything, and i also care deeply particularly about societal issues like social injustice, racism, and homophobia.
that, coupled with how boneheaded all the elders in my congregation are (except for one), led me to ask even more questions that led me to find ttatt.. .

A few questions for believers
by keyser soze inwhen confronted with all of the inconsistencies and atrocities of the bible, many believers invariably claim that they don't base their faith in christ on what's written in the bible.
so what is the basis then, if not scripture?.
and please don't tell me "the lord has revealed himself to me".

Accuracy of the Revised NWT
by dabster ini was speaking with a jw yesterday.
i'd previously mentioned the removal of the brackets around 'other' in colossians 1 making the mistranslation complete.
during our chat he said that the previous edition of the nwt was the more correct one, that the revised version was simply more readable and that it shouldn't be considered the best translation.

I recommend reading Isaiah 66:5 in a chapter which both the Watchtower and popular Christian opinion agree is an end time scripture:
Old Version:
Isaiah 66:5
Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU men who are trembling at his word: "YOUR brothers that are hating YOU, that are excluding YOU by reason of my name, said, ‘May Jehovah be glorified!’ He must also appear with rejoicing on YOUR part, and they are the ones that will be put to shame."
[Name of person] is no longer a Jehovah's Witness ---> that are excluding YOU by reason of my name
Understand that if we really are in those end times then Jehovah's Witnesses are the ONLY RELIGION that is fulfilling this prophecy.
It thoroughly condemns them!
Now read how they changed it in the new version and ask yourself why?
Also compare it to other translations.

The FIRST LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS states that energy can’t be created or destroyed.
Yep, applying that law to death is really interesting!
Thing is, if energy cannot be created or destroyed then how did all that energy get here in the first place?
