  i am asking this based on sd-7's posts and am curious what you consider fair as far as house upkeep in the position you are in.. i was raised in the 60/70 decades from parents married in the 1950's so i seem to have a pretty old fashioned idea of what "housewife" means.. when i was working i had no tolerance for any slop habits, but since i'm home i don't require much.. so what are your ideals, how does your home operate?

  I'm a stay at home Mom and the house is always clean(to the naked eye) and laundry done but supper may or may not be on the table..LOL.

  My husband is used to the last minute text to pick up dinner.

  But Hey!! I can't do it all:)

  I clean, taxi the kids around and make sure they all have clean draws not to mention other important must do's.

  He never complains..thankfully.

  just got back from memorial.

  only went so that i could say to my parents that i had gone and to remind myself why i left.. oh my word!!!

  it was sooooo painful.. got there a bit late - it was a couple of minutes into the talk.

  Made up our minds not to go.

  Hubby is bringing home pizza and hopefully a six pack of Modelo Negro.

  I sat down with the teens to read together the account of the last supper in Matt, we took 10 verses back and forth and stopped in between each to share what we thought of it. It was nice to do it without a Watchtower to tell us what we should be thinking about that account.

  I may be totally turned off from organized religion, but I still love God and appreciate what Jesus did for us.

"the reality is that, from beginning to end, it is extended over 40 years.

  you have wasted your life and caused untold misery.. "as one victim said, you have stolen her childhood.. "you have been the most terrible hypocrite, passing yourself off as a law-abiding member of the community and using religion as a tool of subjection to control your victims.. "that is why i'm satisfied this remained a secret for so long.".

  cockerill was sentenced to imprisonment for public protection for a minimum of six years.. he will not be released until the parole board believe he is no longer a danger.. cockerill, of hull, was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.. he allegedly had five victims, three of whom were subject to the convictions he pleaded guilty to and two more have made allegations against him.. police believe there could be more.. in a statement read to the court, one victim said: "he took my childhood away.".

  Pedophiles in your congregation??

  i'm listening to the "six screens of the watchtower" broadcast from october 25, 2008 [yeah, i know, i'm waaay behind...], discussing pedophilia... that broadcast caused me to look up the current status of 'pedophilia notification' in the u.s.a..... rebel8 posted a link sometime back that gave locations of pedophiles in one's (u.s.a.) neighborhood... that portion of the link is, unfortunately, not working right now.... i decided to check out my [old] site, http://www.nsopw.gov/core/offendersearchcriteria.aspx to see if it still functioned the same way.... again, unfortunately, that site is also no longer giving out maps of one's area.... but, as pointed out in rebel8's posted link, pedophiles tend to move around.

  this was also mentioned in the six screens broadcast by a lady named "lilly".... the new versions of both sites simply allow one to input the name of someone suspected to be a pedophile... not as effective, imo, but perhaps the cost of updating the maps due to pedophiles' high mobility became prohibitive.. so, here's my suggestion... using the 'name' search function, check out every name in .

  your congregation, starting with the elders!!!.

  The Beard Starts TODAY

  it was only this past weekend that i finally stated (both aloud and in print) that i would never attend another meeting again.

  like many brothers before me, i have decided to symbolize this new dedication to freedom for myself and my family with a beard..

  i'm brand new to the board.

  long time, "big shot" elder, ....taught at km school, conventions, etc.

  yeah, i know it means nothing....but it gives you an idea of how deep i've been a jw.. i don't even really know what to write at this point.

  hello everyone.. i'm new to this forum.

  i left the organization several months ago, and am on a new path now.

  though i didn't grow up in the organization, i have basically lived a life of pretending to be something i'm not, sheltering my feelings from everyone, and not feeling "enough" to anyone.
