  American Rantings About World Cup Soccer (Football)

  i try ... i really try to watch football (soccer) ... it's world cup time ... i really do try.. i just don't get it ... i really don't.. yes, it's a world-wide sport.

  in most countries it is the number 1 or number 2 sport ... no doubt about it.

  it's maybe number 5 in the usa for professional sports.. from an american's perspective (i think i speak for many), we just wonder if these guys actually have testicles.

  The WT Society taking child abuse more seriously now?

  with the constant reports of child sex abuse in the congregation from members who now will not be silent, i wonder if the wt will continue to change their policy in this matter.

  they have made some adjustments compared to a decade ago.. .

  i didn't even know about the case below.

  In the great words of Maya Angelou...." I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better."

  I have spent many nights feeling horrible about allowing my child to be questioned by the elders after her molestation. Many people have come down hard on my husband and myself for not standing up and marching them out of our home, we wish we would have.

  It's extremely difficult to do the right thing when your thoughts are controlled. We failed our child in that moment, but never again! We have since learned to do better.

  We can't all be hero's right on cue, but it's what we do after we know, that's important. I hope that makes sense, I'm not really good with expressing myself through writing.

  Anyways, thank you for speaking up.

  I've had the misfortune of having to sit through a hot day at Qualcomm stadium and it was horrible!!! People are going to be fighting for those cold seats in the shade without those EZups.

  Please tell your wife I understand the cost of doing the right thing. I thank you both for taking a stand.

  I also have seen behind the curtain, my little family has been forever changed because of doing the right thing and no matter how hard it has been and continues to be we would do it all again. A clean conscience is worth all the hardships.
