  as many of you on here will know, my sister and myself (along with others we know) were abused by a ms. .

  my first memory as a child was of abuse and i've had and still am suffering from the affects due to mental health problems.

  the abuser is now dead, but he was jailed for abuse of his own son previously so that nest of vipers will have known he was an abuser.

  So they agree the pervert molested her but still appeal the judgement! They really are pigs!

  I'm happy for the young women who stood up against the Org with another victory. I hope this allows her the healing she deserves.

  Does This Mean JWs No Longer Point the Finger at Child Sexual Abuse in Other Religions?

  those who still attend meetings will be better placed to answer this question.

  since the conti case - but likely some years before it became more widely known in ex-jw circles and beyond - there appear to have been no watchtower or awake news snippets on child sex abuse in the churches of christendom.

  also, do rank and file still talk to householders about the churches of christendom's cover-ups of such abuse?.

  I would just love for some unknowing JW to show up to my door talking about other religions and child abuse.....seriously I would love it!!

  I would start by inviting the in to watch the Nightline and PBS NewsHour I have recorded on my DVR. Then I would share was happened to my family after a ex elder molested our child.

  I seriously doubt they woul even try that approach out on service these days.

  After twenty years of marriage…

  i just got a call from a friend who informed me that a brother whom i've known for a while and is an elder, just found out last night that his wife of 20+ years declared she was gay, and left him..

  i still need to confirm but my friend is very reliable and was close friends with the family.

  heres the thing, she spent 20+ years with this man, has children with him and now decides she wants to follow her heart.

  I've been married 20 + years and I think I would be very upset at first, but as time passed I would be understanding and accepting.

  Elders are Complicit with WT Society in Child Abuse Scandals- Gonzalo Campos Case

  of course, most of us realize this.

  however sometimes even on this board sometimes threads have stated that the jw elders have been occasionally painted as the " fall guys " who take the rap for the wt society leaders - which of course is true - to a degree.

  however- that being said , many times elders have failed to protect - or even have failed to advocate for child abuse victims when it has been within their power to do so.

  Is this yet another case involving Compos or is this the Jose Lopez case?

  There truly is a lot to say when it comes to the written communication between the elders and WT society in these cases. It makes it clear that their main concern is how to keep the scandle as quite as possible. No mention of how to help the victims at all :(

  Would you warn your neighbors if a child molester lived on your street?

  just found out that someone who lives 4 doors down was convicted of molesting a 4 year old child twice.

  the second time was after he was arrested and released on bond from the first arrest.

  having two 4 year old children living in my home, i am concerned.

  I don't consider myself a busybodies nor a do gooder but if I can save one family from going through what my family has.... I would.

  There is a reason the sex offender list is public. Of course you shouldn't plaster someone's face or name but you could simple advise your neighbors to check the list.
