I have no problem talking about how horrible we were treated my our so called brothers and sisters.

Do you tell people?

how much detail do you go into when you tell non-jw's about the organization.
i usually only ever say anything if somebody asks about my religious affiliation or mentions jw's.

In response to Standfirm's comment about the two witness rule.
by life is to short instandfirm told me thatl.
ife is to short,.
the jw organization says that two witnesses to separate acts of wrongdoing are acceptable for someone to be df'ed.. "if there is another witness to the same type of sin on the part of the accused, this would be basis for forming a judicial committee.

I just wanted you to know I feel for you and what you have been through. When I read your posts I feel your pain as if it were mine! My stomach stars to tighten up because I remember how I felt when facing some of the things you went through.
Standfirm will never listen to our experiences because he doesn't care! He is only here to protect the Org by any means! Don't let him get to you ...he's not worth it!!

Today my husband surprised me...
by mrsjones5 inyesterday we were getting our van repaired and while that was going on we decided to window shop at a really cool furniture consignment shop.
i saw a baker's rack that was really nice and that i would love to have.
hubby looked at it too and thought it was a nice piece but we had to leave the shop to pick our van.

1.My dad(active JW at the time) spent time in jail for putting a man in a wheel chair while drunk driving
2. The ex elder creep that molested my child was convicted and sent to prison for molesting multiple victims for most likely the rest of his life.
3. An elder in my mothers congregation for some real estate scam.
4. Another elder in the Spanish congregation that met in the same KH we did for murdering his wife.
Now ask me why I went inactive???

Do You Think It Is Wrong To Stereotype?
by minimus ini know we are supposed to be politically correct but i don't always feel that this is warranted.. i do think that certain things might be generally true and could be viewed as stereotyping.
for example, if i see a young person driving a car very slowly, i might think that they are texting and driving (or else are asian).
now that might not have sounded proper, but i do think it's generally true, from my experience driving in the city.. if i see a "butchy" looking woman, i generally assume the woman is gay.

after writing this, i am on a serious search for a good therapist~.
i've been coming here on and off for a little over a year now(wish i had found it sooner) ...for validation and clarity in my feelings about how hurtful the religion is...so i don't feel so alone about it, and so i don't feel like i am losing my mind~.

My daughter and son both benefited from therapy and I know it helps just to talk it out without worrying about hurting anyones feeling, so if you feel the need to it..do

we used to have a member of the "remnant" in our congregation (chester g), who lived at bethel.
he was an older man, and had been a witness for a very long time.

It happens way to often imasheilatoo :( My 9 year old daughter was a victim of a very loved and respected ex elder.
Truth is the WTS want these situations to just go away and if it means losing Jehovah's precious innocent sheep, then so be it!
Like the Scriptures say..you will recognize them by their fruit. That's why I got my family out of there as soon as I seen what they really were.
