  i admit that i do enjoy it, especially with my grandkids.

  birthdays, too.. i believe we missed out on a lot of fun and normal activities because we were witnesses..

  I would love to go all out and celebrate them all but my husband still feels guilty. Instead we go out to dinner for birthdays and for Christmas I'll usually do a in house scavenger hunt for the kids.

  I have been asked to submit work for next year's open studio exhibit

  my husband showed some of my work to artists exhibiting in this years open studio event and i have been asked to submit work for next year.

  as soon as the children go back to school i will be busy with the isograph pens.

  as a witness i gave up my art studies and my dream of fine art because it was not appropriate for a witness.

  years ago you read my horror stories about being raped by a jw.

  i was nine years old when this took place, now the man has been getting all his works in order.

  what do i do to stop the seventy-year old pedophile from getting his position back?

  My heart is just sick for you right now because I know what a dark place your in:(

  To answer a few of your questions...

  first, NO when we went to the elders about our 9 year old daughter being molested by a brother ( ex elder) we received no help. Instead we were in my opinion victimized yet again.

  Later after watching us suffering one elder let us know they were " told to stay away from us." Nice, right? Talk about leaving a wounded family to tend to their wounds alone.

  We did have our daughter go to therapy which she really didn't like. We have since been watching her closely for when she's ready to talk to someone again.

  Our son is seeing a psychologist and I have been in and out of therapy for the past few years. Yes we are a bit messed up but we are strangely happy at the same time :) Leaving the religion was key! Now it's time to do whatever we need to do to have a new normal!

  Just know, you will have your ups and downs but you're stronger then you think. The more you reach out and the more you feel you are doing something to help others the stronger you will get.

  the things they take from you:.

  first they take your childhoodthen they take your familyfinally they take your memorieswe all know that you limit your social interactions so you have few school friends who are not jws.

  they openly promote this in their magazines and it's repeated at meetings throughout your formative years.

  That's just horrible!!! I'm so sorry you have to go thought this:(

  I know you want to protect the innocent children and I applaud you for your efforts, just don't forget to take care of yourself in the process :) I know the toll it takes on the body with all the stress.
