The Plaintiff wants the Defendants to be legally liable. Is that the same as wanting "what is in WT deep pocket."? Might the Plaintiff not have had "what is in WT deep pocket." by settling out of court?

are you familiar with the motto "professionals built the titanic amateurs built the ark?".
i find it somewhat annoying.
i've been looking for a good analogy like amelia earhart was a professional pilot dorothy was just a girl from kansas but she got back home..
pixel, cappytan, and wifibandit present for your consideration:.

the saturday program will be added tomorrow, followed by the sunday program the next day..
i believe that the religion will remain stagnant due to their achilles heel, the kids, the children, that next generation.. most of them really don't wa t to be in the religion.
the parents may have tried everything within their power to make the kids love jehovah but we all know you can't force someone to love you and you can't make a grown person stay in a relationship or situation if they really don't want to be there..
What Finkelstein just said.
And the internet is so much more accessible now. Kids in their early teens have in their hands (phones, tablets etc) instant access to the net. Ten years ago they would have had to use the family computer and looked over their shoulders.
imagine three single sisters who qualified to be appointed as elders in the congregation.
they qualified because they started reaching out in their early teens.
persistently and methodically they worked their way through the ranks by pioneering then becoming a m.s.
We in the UK had Margaret Thatcher as Prime Minister. Not for nothing was she known - and sometimes admired - as the "Iron Lady". But in 1982 when her son got "lost" in the Dakar North African rally for 6 days did she get distressed? Oh yes.
Denis Thatcher on the other hand was reported as saying of his son ... "he'll turn up - give him a beer and a sandwich a wash and a shave and he'll be fine."
And he did.
Women elders? OK until the nepotism for their own children raises it's head and then watch'em squeal.
so you all know that my wife is still blinded....i am well awake and so are our son's.
so she is expecting me to use my vacation time from work to attend the d.c. waste 3 days of dribble from the cult.
what of waste of time....yet i will do it to keep the peace.
i often wonder if apostasy could be defined as the "silent problem", as the majority who leave for this reason choose to fade saying nothing.
in all the decades i was a witness i could probably count on 2 hands those who were disfellowshipped for apostasy.i must admit it wasn't until i came on the internet that i fully realise the depth and extent of the problem.
i think of that young girl high school speech that went viral, and you can't tell me all those 300000+ views were all none jws.
Over 600,000 views now ...
About a year ago one left our hall. DA'd. No family but she let it be known she didn't agree with doctrine. Those in the know say she went apostate.
Now as for faders one went six months ago but didn't specify why - I hear that she won't answer the door/take phone calls. It was sudden but unannounced. I suspect it might be pedo/apostasy but can't be sure. Perhaps she just got fed up waiting for Armageddy.
When I was an elder not one DF/DA went for Apostasy - it was always unpermitted sex! (With an isolated fraud case too) Though funnily enough six with Irish connections went within two years in the early 1980's following Ray Franz and "trouble in Ireland".
hey guys i just wanted to share my jw broadcast parody with you all.
i think some of you may find it humorous.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-kvrqwwgnq.
worst day in the last ten years, was the day i hit 0.00 with one and a half years of university to go.
nobody to turn to, nobody to ask for help.
i was 32 and as an ex jw had two family members in contact with me.
Nice one Snare ...
Now a word from an old man who has on and off had bikes. I didn't sell mine for such a good cause but did sell one "to get married" and then again "to put money down on a house" and again "to pay for my wife to have a small car to take our first child about". I now have one again - non-descript Universal Japanese Motorcycle but at least I have one.
Perhaps if I had got better educated and had a career path instead of dead end jobs to put Jehovah first I might have a brand new Ducati!
But as they used to say on Hill Street Blues "Hey! Hey! Be careful out there ... "
Don't want to hear that Snare has wrapped himself round a tree.
since this is the first weekend of rcs, anyone going that can give estimates of how many are getting baptized, how many appeared about that were jw youth, and what attendance figure is at these rcs?.
i know u.s. baptisms are declining.
can any keep a running report?
NOT REGIONAL ... but in March at the circuit special day thingamy a UK circuit where a cousin attends which divides into two half circuits to fit in the assembly hall so about 2200 but 1100 on each day - had for the half she attended zero baptisms!
Unheard of apparently. Normally it's about 5 or 6 in each half.
The circuit I attended had 12 last October (probably spurred on by just having had the tie in to Twickenham London in August) and only 4 this Spring. So down a bit.
