  What's Is The Goal Of This Religion?

  what's is the goal of this religion?.

  i mean, if it's for money they could do a lot more like other religions do: tithing, paying for prayers from the gb, selling "miracles", selling "blessed" items, selling courses.. if its for power then what are they hoping to do with that power?

  Sound of Music actress passed away

  charmain carr, the actress that played liesl von trapp in the film sound of music, has passed away at the age of 73.. r.i.p.. sound of music was one of the first films i saw.

  Easier to be a JW now?

  reading konceptual's account of talking to cart 'witnesses' and it reminded me that when we left in '89 we thought the religion would do one of two things.

  get more hardline, consequently lose members and eventually come to an end in some way.

  or ease up on the members, fewer rules, less fs time, less meetings, just to keep them in.. all the recent apostate stuff, treatment of dfed kids and the hardline attitude to people who leave or try to fade has confused me, made me think they are harder on the r+f., but i don't think this is true.

  They still go plodding slowly - "in the most urgent work to save mankind" - door to door - but they choose the time that is least likely to meet anyone. Apathetic low end rank and file (typically one third of the cong) will go out on Saturday mornings or mid week mornings when people are in bed, at the shops, working or off for the day.

  Keener rank and file (including retired elders and those that occasionally aux pioneer at a pathetic 30 hrs) will go on each others return visits and bible studies to increase their time and will stand next to a local dummy cart from time to time.

  The regular pioneers increasingly stand like stupified dummies next to metropolitan crap carts too. Oh and they'll study with Sister Gotmoorkids children and teens to "help" them (and get their time in).

  The only men that go out in the early evening to find people home are the odd ball keen slightly deranged type which average one or two per congregation.

  It really would be a joke if it wasn't a complete waste of time.

  Big news from Kim and Mikey, they state in thier latest video proof the WT invested in the Nazi war machine!!

  this is big!

  according to what they say if i'm correct an investigation was done back in 1998 in concerning what american companies invested money in to germany.

  mike and kim state that a document they have attained shows a list of american firms that had invested into germany as late as 1943. on this list is non other then watchtower !!

  What's the point of posting unsupportable allegations about the WT, especially when the documents clearly indicate otherwise? I saw the documents and read them when posted previously. They do not support what Mikey and Kim say they do IMO. To not call it out feeds into the "Apostates lie" lie that comes from WT.

  They have been over eager. They should apologise. Just like Cedars did over a fake recording that he attributed to the WT when it wasn't so.

  It takes big men and women to say sorry we got it wrong and they go up in my estimation when they do.

  Why start preaching work in 1876? Something to ask JW's who are still in

  we learn from the bible that the characters that preached doomsday messages, such as lot, noah, etc all got to see the result of the message they preached, we studied that the final judgement from god was seen by the preacher as well as the people that heard and ignored the message.

  my point is this, it would have been ridiculous for noah to start preaching to people, put the fear of god in all the listeners that the flood is coming, build the ark and then as a result, nothing happens to them.

  even if the flood would have happened later, let's say 50 years after noah and all the people that heard him have died from natural causes.

  Of course, according to Genesis life spans were much longer prior to the flood so although Noah could have preached for hundreds of years to the same people yet it was only recorded as about 40 years.

  Unlike 1876 until now which would have meant my great great grandfather hearing it in 1876 at approx age 24, then my great grandfather hearing it at age 24 in 1900 then my grandfather hearing it at age 34 in 1924 then my father in 1950 then me in 1976 and then my children in 2000 - so six overlapping generations of which only the last two are alive.

  i have done this exactly as quoted more than once.

  i ask elder if it's better to hide serious sin or reveal, of course we know the answer.

  then i ask them to explain elders book page 38 paragraph 19, which say it's sometimes ok for elder who has committed immorality and has kept it secret to continue serving as elder.

  i'm quite surprised about the new approach of some local congregation brothers respect about my fade.... funny, ilegal and very dangerous in view of the different laws regarding personal data and minorities in spain and in the eu.... i already organized a press meeting with main newspapers in spain.

  many has shown interest in this situation.

  the fact of that a parallel judicial system do exist is amazing them.

  So XXXX says I have had sex out of wedlock. Really? Have you another witness to this accusation against me? If not then is not the procedure set out for Jehovah's Witness elders is that the body should ask two elders to investigate, not to set up a judicial committee.
