  Older JW: not happy

  this week i visited my sick father in law.. then an old elder from my far away congregation came in for coffee.

  did not see him in 15 years.. nice chat.

  had a lot to say, is alone, his sick wife disabled and away from home.. he told me: "living alone is so hard.

  I do notice the same. In our hall, in less than 18 months five in the over 70 age group have died. That's five out of 70 publishers. I just counted up that there are 15 more in the 70 plus age range still attending or listening on the phone link up.

  With 3 exceptions - an 80 year old woman who DID go to college before becoming a JW and who is "up-together" and cheerful and a couple in their late 70's who seem healthy and "jolly" - they are all miserable, ill or depressed.

  They know in their hearts that the 50 to 60 years some of them have been JW's has put them no nearer to the new system they were so convinced of walking into.

  Manmade rules

  i was talking to someone a few years ago and he said in his congregation they have a rail of white shirts prepared in the cloakroom for if a speaker doesn't have a white shirt on.

  it was a rule in their hall that all brothers in the platform must wear white shirts when going talks and if the speaker won't comply when asked to change into the shirt they provide an elder in the congregation will do the talk instead.

  i have never known any other halls do it so it must be a rule the elders have made up without gb input.

  It is very real and still up on jborg broadcasting - go to the September 2017 broadcast and start at about 44 mins ...

  I thought how strange they would show off the millions now living will never die! leaflet; have two kids (who have lost their mother in death) shown as grown up and staying the course awaiting the resurrection with their family around them.

  Do they not see that the millions now living who would never die (even if they were little girls just then) are around 90 years old if that film was set in about 1935?

  Only having seen a small clip I can't say too much beyond this ...

  The target audience I guess are the - hem-hem - lower end of the social scale, yes? Therefore the current type that today's WT peddlers might actually have some success with. (Broken, needy, gullible, non-thinkers - to give them a broad brush.)

  If they watch and avoid then great!

  Not really being too snooty here as it's the sort of thing people like me laugh at but if home sick on an afternoon will watch anyway to feel better about myself!

  I am getting disfellowshipped

  maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

  for general information i am now 19 years old, and living by myself.

  for the past 1 year (more like 1.5 years) i have been quietly fading out of the hypocrisy of this organization, but since i still live in the town i grew up in it has been hard, and filled with different challenges.

  The KS10 Elders handbook states that it must be spiritual fellowship with other DF's for them to be able to DF you.

  There is a small chance they are bluffing. (Though they might try to use their new favorite Brazen Conduct or Causing Divisions card) They will need to get their witnesses to say exactly what has happened.

  DO NOT GO!!!!!!!

  IF... IF... IF... - they communicate afterwards with you that you have been disfellowshipped then tell them you do not recognise their authority; that they are breaking their own rules and you are appealing and are writing to Bethel and if any announcement about you is made then you will instruct your lawyer to seek legal remedy against the JC members individually.

  So ...

  1. SHUT UP and DON'T GO.

  2. IF they hold a JC in absentia then they MUST tell you the result.

  3. IF THEY DO ... Tell them you are ignoring their incorrectly convened "theocratic" court and you are appealing to Bethel and to a lawyer about seeking legal and financial redress if any announcement is to be made.

  4. Keep us informed so we can help you every step of the way.

  They have nowhere else to go!

  i think the overwhelming problem with trying to wake up friends and family is they have nowhere else to go.

  i mean these people all their friends are jws a lot of them their family is jws.

  if they wake up or agree with you in anyway they know instantly that they loose all this, many will even loose jobs.

  What the Fall Guy says is true.

  And this is why if they have to deal with someone who is concerned or is awakening and who is in anyway vocal about the skeletons in WTBTS's closet they run scared.

  Then the unrest gets to the elders who quickly consult the CO or HQ who will "guide" them in methods to bring the "concerned" jw back in line.

  If that doesn't work they will manipulate scriptures to boot them out.

  Any "Naboth" clinging to scriptural principles in the face of WT lies will be stoned (AKA DF'd and ostracized) and the R&F know it.
