  i just finished the greatest show on earth by richard dawkins, and am almost finished crisis of conscience by...some guy.. currently in hand, i have:.

  the power of myth, joseph campbell and bill moyers.

  Hey Bonnzo and Walkins: I'm currently on The Dome as well. I was drawn to it because of how big the book is. I've never read Stephen King because after all, "he's from the devil" right. Can't put this book down. I'm on about page 400 today. Got it as an x-mas gift.

  Lost in translation: I've read Ken Follets book, make sure you read the second one The Pillars of the Earth when your done with that, it's the sequel. Out of all novels I've ever read, those are the two that I could actually re-read. I don't do that often.

  Tinker: I also read the Road, saw the movie. They were both pretty good but the book was better, of course.

  OMG! Dallas might... MIGHT have a White Christmas!!! :D

  i'm 37 and have never seen a white christmas.. i sure hope the weather forecast comes true and we wake up christmas morning to find snow on the ground!

  Over here in okc it's a mess! People stranded in their cars, snow, ice, wind. I'm so glad we decided to listen to the news and NOT go out today. Conditions went down hill quick here. But, yes, it will be a white x-mas tomarrow! It's been fun though!

  Will religon eventualy disapear?

  obviously not in our life time, but i was thinking maybe in a centry from now perhaps?

  once the people who were taught creation in school are gone and instead we have people who were taught evoultion instead?

  when we have perhaps been able to travel further and deeper into space, will people ask where is god?.

  Yes, because religion divides. In fact, anything on the planet, from religion to the PTA, if it divides us from one another, will eventually dissolve. It has to for the survival of man and the planet. We aren't there yet of course, don't know how long it will take, but I definitely feel and see a 'shift' in consciousness with people. The same ol' same ol' is not working and people will get that some day, I'm very optimistic.........wf

  Do You Accept ALL Of The Bible As Being 100% Truth?

  do you believe the bible is unfallible, unerring and totally accurate?.

  do you believe the bible is a "good book" with much good about it but not something that should be totally believed?.

  do you not believe in the bible at all as being "god's word"?.

  I know one thing, the 'Bible' is not the only 'Holy' book on the planet, so for those who will defend the Bible have they considered what other people consider Holy Books as well? Now that I have put the Bible in its place in my life, I actually think I could go back and read it as a fun, and interesting, historical read instead of a literal, fear based, all commanding book. That's how I read all books now. I take what I can from them, the parts that may help me in my life to think about things more openly, to connect to my fellow man, and how it makes me just overall feel. But no, I don't believe the Bible is from some God, just like I don't believe other books are from God. But I do believe people can be inspired to write wonderful things, meaning when they are at one with the Source, a whole array of good things, including writings, music, poetry, can come from that place. If I'm making any sense.........wf

  i was seriously injured in desert storm.

  my wife is out of town and i was going to give her a nice christmas by putting up a real tree, going crazy with tacky decorations, all that.

  This is a good question, one I've been thinking a lot about lately. What I do think is that life is just to precious to live and die like we do. Somethings not right, something has to change. I still think we will see these people again but I don't know where or how but to just think that they are forgotten forever doesn't feel right to me.........wf

  To my understanding the Tao is over 2000 years older than the Bible and much more enlightening. PSacramento summed it pu nicely and I totally agree............wf
