I'm not in full blown college but started taking classes this last year the local community college at 38 (now 39) but even just the few classes I'm taking will help me get into a career with "job security". I second another poster, depending on what you want, you don't have to go college big time, but lots of classes out there, and lots of ways to take exactly what you want to get a better career. I love every minute of it. It's opened my mind even more, I'm learning a lot. You would do just fine.

I think we all know so many kids like this in the org right now. How scary! And many of us knows what it feels like to think suicide would be the answer. These kids don't stand a chance. The only two choices they know are: live the jw life perfectly, or live the jw life and secretly live something else. They don't even realize that leaving it all together is a choice to be considered to. This just burns me!

Ok, I've never watched Loss so I'm "lost" about the whole thing. But I knew plenty of jw's who were into the series. If the fact is these were "dead people" all along (I'm getting a hint of that on this thread) you think their going to freak out that they've been watching something so "spiritistic"? And then start to have a series of talks based on how you can't watch or trust ANYTHING now? I know some elders who watched this and I can only imagine what they are thinking now! How funny.

If anything Scott, things like this work against them because it shows that this stuff is possible NOW in some cases and that you don't have to wait until the "end of the world and the other side" to enjoy life and animals NOW. JW's actually hate good news that happens today because what message do they have when good things are happening? Can you imagine them going to this man and trying to tell him that one day he will be able to live freely among animals? He already does! They don't have a message for him.
