A Demon Experience?......This was/is very serious to me.
by awildflower inso when we moved here from maine to okc, six years ago this coming april, my daughter was 7. the military moved us so it brings a big moving truck to your house and unloads all of your stuff etc.
we had been settling in for a few months and my daughter starting telling me that she was hearing things in her room.
small things at first, just enough to prick up her ears.

Hi Scott, I can't explain it any better than the next person. Why her and not any of us? Because I think it had to do with bad energy or something on that mattress which she was sleeping on every night. You make a good point though. If it had anything to do with having Jah's favor or protection or not, my case certainly shows that that had nothing to do with it! I don't know about "demons" but negative energy, yes. And once it was out, it all stopped. Weird I know.

That movie freaked me out, I closed my eyes while my daughter laughed. But I'm glad I saw it because the spoof by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin at the Academy Awards cracked me up! You'll be able to appreciate it now having seen ithttp://youtube.com/v/LVw0xLAP-Zk

Who do you think this is talking about?
by awildflower in"this day has given the earth an entirely new aspect.
the world would have gone to destruction had there not streamed forth from him who is now born a common blessing.
rightly does he judge who recognizes in this birthday the beginning of life; now is that time ended when men pitied themselves for being born.

And let me just say this while I research, my problem is not if Jesus really existed or not, my problem is the development of "Christianity". To me if people believe in who Jesus was and really got the since of his words and life, they would NOT be part of an organized religion! What was of interest to me most in the article was the Gnostic's take on who Jesus was (or wasn't) and the "spirituality" they had verses what the organized Church came up with. Hope that makes since. I like Jesus! But I don't like so called "Christianity"!

Well Tec I certainly appreciate the time it took for all that research, it's going to take me a while to go through it, so I'll get back here later. Thanks though!

I'm going poo-less
by rebel8 inno, this is not my annual march colon cancer awareness thread!*.
a certain poo-less poster here has inspired me to stop using shampoo.. according to various hippie types, shampoo forces your scalp to produce extra oils and it takes a while to adjust.
sudsing detergents are bad for the environment too.. plus they have carcinogens and flying spaghetti monster knows i don't need any more of those.. so....have you gone poo-less?.

What about the new product on tv called Wen? I think that's the name, starts with a W, anyways it's suppose to not be shampoo because of all those things you mentioned above. I'll try to find something on line about it. I'm all for all natural when we can find good products, and I don't mind paying more for them either.

When I was a girl we never got soda or chips! IF by some slim chance my mom had a soda it got spit between six kids! I'm glad though because to this day I don't drink soda (unless it's in Jack!) but chips, can be a weakness for me.

I can appreciate what you say Tec. So in all seriousness, what has your research revealed as to the history of Christianity? How does it differ from the above article? Would you post anything that I could read about your research?
If the above article is indeed written with "false/mistaken/uncertain information", what is to say what you have found about the origins of Christianity is not "false/mistaken/uncertain information". The authors seemed to be just as convinced of what they found out as you seem to be about your search.
Seriously interested.
