now i for one though well, why didn't you pray or the oil pipe in the mexican gulf to dry up...or food for the poor in haiti.
other pioneers tell of vegetables falling off trucks just when they had nothing for dinner???
I had a CO once who counseled the congregation and told them pretty much the same thing. Quit crediting Jehovah and the angels for everything that happens. They don't work that way. He explained it all in such a rational way that was so UN-Dub-like that all I could think at the time was "this is the coolest CO I've ever had." Looking back, I wonder whether he was of the conscious class.

Ok I have one for ya: There is a couple in my old hall who wanted to buy a new house, move out of the one that was payed for and the one they raised their kids in. They said IF the deal for the new house all got done by a certain date (and they had an actual day picked out) that that meant that Jehovah wanted them to move from their old house, THAT WAS PAID FOR, and move into a new house with another payement. Guess what, their day came and went without a deal. So did they take that as a sign NOT to buy the new house, Jehovah's answer?? No, they bought it anyways and said Jehovah must have a different plan for them!
I hate when people say this. I had another "sister" friend in Maine and she thought Jehovah absolutely did EVERYTHING for her from giving her money when she needed it to bringing a deer to her window at exactly the time she wanted to see one!
I believe that you can manifest stuff in your life ON YOUR OWN, it doesn't have anything to do with "Jehovah answering" these tiny prayers. Just rediculous! Because it says to the rest of us, "Jehovah is obviously blessing me, why isn't he blessing you, why isn't he answering your prayers?" I hate that!

now that i am free from my bonds to an organization dictating to me what i can and cannot do (in bed included), i cannot stop.....i feel like an addict on coke or something, i have been with my bf for eight months now, and perhaps it is a combination of the newness of a sexual relationship with the release from my spiritual bonds, but....i feel like a cat in heat 24/7.
of course my bf is not complaining even though i see he is physically tired parts of the day that i actually leave him alone (to go to work or sleep after hours of lovemaking).
i wonder if anyone else has gone through similar experience.

my son got suspended from school for fighting.
not just fighting but choking another boy during their fight.
he started it in anger over something the other boy did, but none of that actually matters.
Tammy, yesterday I was getting my hair done and my hairdresser was telling her about her friend who's 11 year old son was getting bullied at school. His parents repeatedly called the school to try to get it stopped even threatening to sue them. Her son was scared and anxious and one day as he was walking home 6 boys jumped him and beat him up. He came home the parents of course were livid. He told his parents he couldn't take it and if he had to go back he was going to kill himself, AT 11!! This subject just gets me riled because it's so senseless. Anyways his parents pulled him out and put him in a private school, which is going to cost a lot for a mom that works at Pizza Hut! And the other boys are in school!
You may have to put him in private school, not that the same thing can't happen there. Don't even get me started on our school systems! There are just so many recent stories of kids taking there own life because of this. And like my friend was saying yesterday, bullying is on a tech level now with FB and MS and cell phones computers etc........How are these kids expected to go to school and learn anything when they are scared! I hate this subject! How is your son doing?

Hey Coffee House Girl, didn't you mention that your BF was like 20 years older than you? So are you saying sex with older men is the bomb How is that relationship working out, him being older, just curious. For the record I think it's fantastic, just thought you might share more info on it.

Sorry Tammy about your son. It's the worst thing for a mom to see their kids struggle. My son struggled early on in school socially, he wasn't bullied but he couldn't stand how other kids were so mean. So I took him out at 5th grade, home schooled him until 8th grade, he went back for 9th, came home for 10-12. My dicision at the time was of course based on being a jw and probably would have done all of that differently as he suffers socially now as well. But for your situation, have you ever thought of taking him out of school? I don't know if it's an answer or not, I don't have good advice, but his situation might be where that would work. Anyways though, sorry your going through this it is so hard. Kids can be so horrible to other kids, and it really, really hurts the one's with the big hearts.
