Something You Hate About The Jehovah's Witness Religion
by minimus inone thing that truly bothers me is that the religion forces you to accept an understanding they have expressed.
they might very well change their view and you simply have to accept the newest view or you are the bad guy!
the generation understanding has changed so much since its inception, how could any witness possibly be 100% sure that what they're told to believe in is "the truth"??.

"Search out those deserving........"
Avoid "stumbling" anyone.
"We encourage all to reach out".
"Because Mama (GB) said so".
Theocratic arrangement.
If it be Jehovah's will.........
You guys are right, I really am starting to feel sick, I must move on out of here!

DOES THE BIBLE really really EXIST?
by Terry inthe bible did not exist in jesus' day nor in the lifespan of his apostles.. people didn't walk around with one (bible) tucked under their arm.. christians didn't carry one (bible) door to door for preaching and teaching.. the closest thing to the bible was the septuigint greek translation of hebrew scriptures which not one person in a 10,000 had ever seen!.
creation of the septuagint (wikipedia article).
...in the third century bce[6].

A popular pastime today among many people is Conspiracy Theories.
Yet, the greatest one of all is THE BIBLE.
Good info! I think we live in a world of paradox that's why the one above would make sense to me!

Get your kids involved with Haiti........
by awildflower inso my 13 year old daughter and i have been watching the news all day about haiti.
because i've been talking about it since it happened she is now asking questions.
so today we talked and i made sure she saw on tv the map of where haiti is and how difficult this is going to be and is for relief efforts due to it being on a island etc..........then i saw where you could safely text a ten dollar donation.

Yes the donation goes to the Red Cross, it's totally legit, all the news stations stand behind it, even Hillary Clinton promoted it this morning and it's easy, immediate and a way to feel like we are doing something. With all the scams going on you have to be careful! When my daughter texted this afternoon they were at about 3million dollars, this evening on the news I heard 5million! Americans like easy and quick! It's working!........wf

So today we talked and I made sure she saw on tv the map of where Haiti is and how difficult this is going to be and is for relief efforts due to it being on a island etc..........Then I saw where you could safely text a ten dollar donation. It will be charged to your phone bill. So because kids are texting all the time I had my daughter do it! I think this is a great opportunity to help the kids get involved, with permission from their parents, they could text a donation as well. Let's face it, our kids have it made over here compared to the kids over there, and yes we have to make them get involved but I thought this was an excellent way to do it.
Text HAITI to 90999. Make sure the kids do it!..............wf

Or google, there's a lot of different articles on it. Just another example of the ignorant control the "church" is trying to keep over people. Fore those who saw the film and 'got it', it has a great message of awareness to it. But some will get it, some aren't ready to get it..........wf

Massive earthquake. Haiti doesn't get a break.
by BurnTheShips inport-au-prince (reuters) - a major earthquake hit the impoverished country of haiti on tuesday, collapsing buildings in the capital port-au-prince and burying residents under rubble, a reuters reporter in the city said.. he said he saw dozens of dead and injured people in the rubble, which blocked streets in the city.. the epicenter of the quake was located inland, only 10 miles from the capital port-au-prince and was very shallow at a depth of only 6.2 miles.. it prompted a tsunami watch for parts the caribbean, the pacific tsunami warning center said on tuesday.. "everything started shaking, people were screaming, houses started collapsing ... it's total chaos," reuters reporter joseph guyler delva said.
"i saw people under the rubble, and people killed," he added.. a local employee for the u.s. charity food for the poor reported seeing a five-storey building collapse in port-au-prince, a spokeswoman for the group, kathy skipper, told reuters.. another food for the poor employee said there were more houses destroyed than standing in delmas road, a major thoroughfare in the city.. panic-stricken residents filled the streets desperately trying to dig people from rubble or seeking missing relatives as dark fell shortly after the quake.. "people were screaming 'jesus, jesus' and running in all directions," delva said.. a major earthquake, of magnitude 7 or higher, is capable of causing widespread and heavy damage.
there was no immediate report of damage or casualties.. the tsunami center said the watch was in effect for haiti, the neighboring dominican republic, with which it shares the island of hispaniola, cuba and the bahamas.. "a destructive widespread tsunami threat does not exist based on historical earthquake and tsunami data," the center said.
