  Another step towards artificial life: Evolution of molecules in laboratory

  hey!.

  i just read this today, a professor gerald joyce has created small, very simple 'dead' molecules that are able to replicate themselves if placed amongst other dead molecules and (here it gets interesting) are able to accumulate mutations and become better at replicating themselves.

  joyce estimate about 30 bits of information is passed along to each 'generation.

  ok ... to me it's not totally related to jw life actually, i'm here because i'm used now to chat with people (you know like you go into a cafe and share wathever you want with whoever as this board is very rich and full for immediat interaction), support them, get some support ... i just like that ... also of course it's very interesting at the same time to follow some news and get information that i might spit back to my familly in time to wake them up .... what about you ?

  I'm here because I love meeting new people and gosh I get the news around the world here before I turn on the TV! I love how you guys know everything about the org before anyone at the hall will get it. This is like the newspaper for me every morning. Some days I'm on more than others.

  real curry recipe?

  Are we talking about Indian curry or Asian curry? There's a big difference. The Asian curry is made with coconut milk and curry paste which is one of my favorites. The Indian curry is mostly listed above which is yummy to.

  Hi Think, I've never seen it personally but I believe it can happen and that doesn't mean I believe it's "evil". I think we are capable with the mind of doing so much more than we think. Think about that!

  Funny double standards used by my wife today

  so in an argument we get to the point that the wts has problems.

  so what, says her, if you got a meter (or yardstick if you prefer) and one centimeter is missing, are you going to throw it all away?

  the same, if from the truth are missing only some pieces, is it not the truth?

  Yeah but if you take a section of a yard stick off it's no longer a yard stick! The "truth" would have no mistakes, ever, ever, ever. The "truth" would be all encompassing and loving, always, always, always. Religion doesn't come close.
