Some of my friends and I in the Hall egged 3 of the elder's cars at their home. It was soooo much fun. It was 1 in the morning and we were just bored.

For those that were raised in the Truth, why did YOUR PARENTS become JW's?
by BonaFide init's weird putting two and two together after 40 years of have the two things separate.. my uncle was killed in a car accident in august of 1969. i was a child, but i remember my mother being very sad and crying and staying in her room.. it was in october of 1969 that the witnesses first visited my mom.
my mom was in the front yard watching us kids when jw's came door-to-door.
that sister and my mom are still friends to this day.. anyway, my mom started studying.

My mom started studing with the JW's when she was 15. She was a runaway living with my dad at the time. Her mom died when she was 6. Her dad was out of the picture and she was the youngest of 5. She was raised by her grandmother and they didn't get along. So she ran away.
Anyway....She said she started studying when she learned of the ressurection...blah, blah, blah....

by Elsewhere ini just did and it lowered my bill from $116 to $79 per month for a year... and i got more channels.
over the year i'll save $444.

I bet they would both have a college education if it werent for the WTS. They should have left the home school part out of the annoucement.
However, they are getting married so hopefully they will be happy together.

How old were you when you were baptized as a JW, and what was it like?

I got baptized in 1997 at the age of 17. They had to dunk me twice since my shoulder or something didn't go under the first time. I only got baptized becuase it was the thing to do since everyone had already done it. I don't really remember much except that my mom was really happy.

My JW daughter getting married June 6th
by Gordy intomorrow, or when ever you read this, june 6th, my jw daughter gets married.
i have thought about it since hearing she was getting married.
but i somehow cannot bring myself to go.

i just dont fit in anymore...finally figured it out...hate it.....
by oompa ineven with my jw wife.....i have told her for awhile she is prob better off without me....i was party central in jwland....nobody has had me over for two years now....i guess cause i could not shut up about some real truths about the so-called truth....now i have agreed to shut up....these guys really do have a right to their own beliefs...i am very non-judgemental and always have been......i should have shut up two years ago or so...but damm......trying to fit in with your own marriage in order to save being shunned from your blood family and a very few what is left dub friends just sucks.....starting over at midlife is such a bitch.....such a bitch..........oompa.
and ya...the fear of the unknown is really present......if all i have known is jw...i will prob not fit into real world either.

I feel like I don't fit into the real world sometimes. Thanks to the all the brain washing I've received since I was 3. I left the borg back in 2004 when I was 24 and still have JW reactions and thoughts. I FREAKING HATE IT.
However, I never really fit it with people at the hall. I could always see past their B.S. Life since I've left is a lot better. I don't have people gossiping about me behind my back and asking me personal questions all the time. I'm very lucky to have had only my mom in the borg when I was still going. I'm fortunate not to have to deal with my family shunning me and making me feel like crap. Plus my mom's DF'd now.

What Has Hurt You Most About Being A Witness?
by minimus infor me, it's not having a "normal" childhood.
being raised a jw will make you miss out on ordainary kid things.
you can't have any friends except witnesses---and only jws that measure up.

One thing you realize is that JWs are a very judgmental lot
minimus- This is very true. JW's are always are the worst when it comes to judging everyone and everything. I sometimes still have to stop myself from being like that every once in a while.
